"Soon you'll be able to take over the entire LSY Group. Your brother was an absolute lunatic but I knew my genes would never let me down. You should do well once you are announced as the new chairman. It is not easy to convince the board to give their votes to you."

I moved my attention across the LSY Group's large office. There were many photos of the chairman winning multiple awards and closing scores of deals. This old man is extremely wealthy. Look at those trophies and high-end furniture, not to mention the lofty ceiling and... a full-on diamond chandelier. The workspace is as large as a luxury suite.

"I'll try my best, Father." He chuckled in delight, as if he'd just hit the jackpot at the casino. But, just a few days ago, he repeatedly whipped my back with a whip due to his irrational beliefs. It was so awful that I couldn't even take a breath. My scars are still visible today, but it's been easier to stand up straight.

It was difficult for me at first to be reprimanded and beaten for unclear reasons. But as time passed, I began to piece together Lee Shin-Ah's memories. What a pity to be awakened in this body and in this world. Hatred for the man I refer to as "father" has grown in me over the last few days.

"Do you have anything else to say?"

"Nothing more, father. If you allow it, I'll be taking my leave now."

"Ah...Where will you be heading off too?"

"It does not concern you. As far as I remember, none of which I do concerns father. I'll be going now if there's nothing else."In the dim light, I noticed him smirking. This dreadful scumbag.  He wanted his children to be like this. He is unconcerned about his ties to his family. He is just concerned about power and authority.

The reason why that bastard of a brother left all this headache to me. Damn you Lee Suk-Young

"Aigoo!" I stretched my back for a bit upon entering the car that was waiting for me outside the establishment.

"M'lady, are you alright?" I gazed at Fabian through the car's rearview mirror.

"It still hurts but I'll get by." He did not speak again after that.

Fabian became the head butler of my house as soon as I turned eight. During that time, my Shin-Ah's mother worked her ass off just to support Shin-Ah's life especially since she's started her education. After that, Fabian took over her education and had been teaching her at home, away from the world that may learn about her true identity. The daughter of a rich and abusive tycoon. It was never my fate to be the next Chairwoman of LSY Group of Companies. It's because of that bastard.

"Is there any news about Suk-Young?"

"None, M'lady."

"Shikshu!" I gritted my teeth. What was he thinking about running off like that? A coward like him is such a disappointment. He made Shin-Ah's way worse than it already is. An abusive father and a runaway coward of a brother. "If it were me, I would've battered him instead!"

"Please calm yourself down, Shin-Ah. Have you figured out a way to completely regain all your memories?"

That's right. Fabian was the first and only person to witness my uproar after realizing that I had woken up to an entirely different body. I've been reading a lot of transmigration stories before all this bullshit happened so it was easy to figure out how to avoid revealing my true identity to Fabian. And because of what Shin-Ah left as evidence of her attempted suicide, I had the perfect excuse.

"I keep recalling stuff almost every day. So far all I've been remembering are important details that will be useful to me in handling the company." Of course that was a lie. My original father was a heck of a businessman so I know how to handle it. There are snippets, though, of Shin-Ah's memories. Keep those memories coming and the only thing left to do is to find a way back to my original body.
