The world grew much darker than it already was after my official declaration as the newest president/chairman. With all of the mountains of work on my desk, as well as the never-ending phone calls, emails, and tedious meetings. In my whole life, I've never worked so hard. Now I have to attend to this party that my father has invited me to. Psh. Can't I just do a montage and finish all of these things in just five minutes?

"M'lady." Fabian's face popped out the door and a few dozen clear books.

"Gosh. I know, Fabian." I held out my palm to him with the other pinching the skin between my eyes. "Will I ever get a day off?"

"With your present rate of progress? No. Never. Certainly not for another millennium. Unless you sell every single one of your shares—"

"Blargh, enough! I get it."

"Well, if you've settled your things, you better change your clothes."  I blew several strands of my hair as I stared at the nth set of documents I needed to read and examine. How do businesspeople manage to live in such a manner? My original father definitely had it rough and still he never missed a single special occasion of mine.

I shut the door to my office and went behind my desk to a hidden door. It concealed behind a big traditional artwork of princess Kaguya looking at the moon on a wall. Within that hidden room were mirrors, tables, bookshelves, and a wardrobe. There's plenty of space for rapid changes, but I also noticed a couple additional standard doors that seem to lead elsewhere. However, I never had the opportunity to investigate them.

I wore a black formal dress when I left my office. It had a champagne skirt with a black tulle overlay and a black belt with a silver buckle. Lace stretched from the top of the chest to the bottom of the sleeves. My hair and make-up were handled by a glam team. I'm just hoping they'll be able to conceal the dark circles around my eyes. Hehe. It took five straight days of hard labor to earn those.

"You still look... dead. Perfect."

My make up artist seems to have a problem. Is Fabian sure he didn't get me a mortician instead?

"I'm not sure if that's a compliment."

"Hm, darling." I coughed when she smashed that big fluffy powder applicator in my face. "Do you know what party you're attending tonight?"

"Aside from the brand of that applicator I'm about to cancel, what else do I need to know-- Aw!" The hairstylist just  grabbed and pulled a handful of my hair! I turned my head to her aggressively.

"Hm." she shrugged like it was nothing. Damn I should've done all of this by myself. But I'm tired. Too tired so I just crossed my arms and ignored her.

"It's the birthday party of the Minister of Economy and Finance's daughter. She's a model, an influencer, an advocate, and is basically a celebrity. You'll be surrounded by media, speculative eyes, other models, celebrities, etc. Do you know what that means?"

"Not a clue." She sighed in frustration. Sarcasm aside, she is a MUA for high socialites like the minister's daughter, so there might be weight in her words. "I know what arena I'm in. I'm not as dumb as everyone thinks. I know they'll be keeping an eye on me."

"She may look like an angel but she's definitely Satan's direct descendent." Her eyes are telling me that I should really be wary of that girl. To be honest, I'm not even sure why my father accepted an invitation from the enemy.

"So you want me to look like I'm totally unfazed by whatever they're planning to do thus making me look like a zombie."

"Beware of the dagger on her right thigh."
