Kataang kids~

little sister

"dad! dad!! pick me up!!" the kid pleaded
"coming!" Aang rushed to him
"but lets not be too loud, buddy, mommy's sleeping"
Bumi strongly nodded at him, then began playing with his dads collar.
"daddy?"
"yes?" asked Aang, while cooking the breakfast
"is the little sister sleeping with mom?" Bumi asked
Aangs eyes widened "...something like that, yeah" the airbender explained
Bumi nodded, not fully satisfied by the answer
"Bum"
"mhhm?"
"you remember what me and mom told you, right? the little sister, or brother is still in mommys tummy"
"I know I know...it just takes too long!" Bumi whined
"why does it take soooo long dad??? I want to meet her!"
"or him" Aang reminded "it could be a boy, Bum, like you"
Bumi frowned "but I want a little sister, cant we choose?"
Aang chuckled "nope, thats a shame, uh?"
"thats a real shame, yes!" Bumi threw his arms in the air

Katara woke up with the sound of her son, Bumi, talking with her husband...she smiled breathing the smell of the fresh fruit that was being cut by Aang in the kitchen.
She tentatively placed a hand on her flat abdomen as she looked through the window.
She suddenly heard Aang announcing to their son that the breakfast was ready

"want to see if mommys awake?" he playfully asked their child, Bumi asnwered with a simple "yay!!!"

before she knew it she saw her husband, with their three year old son balanced on his hip, bursting in their room

"MOM!" Bumis eyes sparkled at Kataras sight, Aang released the child who clumsily climbed on the bed to greet his mother.
"mommy can I see the little sister!!??" Bumi clapped his hands
Katara sighed, it was the same story every morning,
"sweetie, the little sister or brother doesnt show yet, theres nothing to see" she sweetly smiled at him
Bumi scoffed "alright..." he remained quiet for a while, not really happy with the situation, then shrugg it off
"mom! breakfasts ready!!" he declared more happy than ever
"really?" she playfully smiled at her son
"did you help?"
Bumi looked down then at Katara
"...a little, yes!"
Katara smiled, sure that her child didnt help one bit...he was still too little to use a knife and cut something.
"he made sure the breakfast was good by tasting it, right Bum?"
"mhmm!" Bumi smiled
Katara smiled, then Aang spoke
"Bum, you go...me and mom will come as soon as we can, k?"
"alright!" the little boy rushed to the kitchen as Aang slipped in bed with his wife.
"I dont know how to tell him it could be a boy" he whispered, as Katara melted at his warmth
she tentatively smiled "If hes so sure about it maybe we should listen to him" she said
Aang raised an eyebrow "you want a girl too?"
"I feel like the family needs a little girl" she whispered
"but Id like to have a healthy child...you know"
Aang nodded, "you?" she asked
"what?"
"boy...or girl?"
"mhhm..."
"girl" he finally said after awhile
"so you could...braid her hair in water tribe traditional braids, and make her look like a little cute you"
Katara chuckled "is that your idea of -perfect future- ?"
Aang looked at her "hey! dont laugh at me!"
"Im not laughing at you!"
"MOM! DAD!" they heard Bumi scream
"COMING BUDDY"
with that they got out of bed and began walking toward the kitchen.
