Born To Love Ya

Chapter Eight

Ryujin was seating on the couch staring into air and smiling.

That night with Yeji kept on replaying on her mind. It was like playing that particular scene on the movie and reciting it word for word over and over again not wanting it want it to end.

It felt right to her and she wondered if Yeji felt the same way.

"Look at you!"

A voice scared her back to reality

"Damn why you always so jumpy? what are you hiding?" Mark sat beside her and stole the bag chips off her hands

"I don't get it one day I want to see her and the next I'm pushing her far away" Ryujin revealed what has been occupying thoughts

"You're are so whipped for her and i don't blame you "

"Don't even think about it" She threatened him at whatever thoughts he had

Mark eyes wandered as if he was looking for someone
"Where's Chaeryeong?"

"At her house!"
"You came here for Chaeryeong and not for me"

"But I'm talking to you now" He defended himself which resulted to an eye roll from her

The door shut indicating the presence of Yuna.

"I'm tired of school" Yuna dragged her feet and threw herself on the couch
"Oh hey Mark"
Mark gave her a salute as his mouth was occupied by the stolen chips typing on his phone.
"Is Chaeryeong here?"

"Jeez do I look her baby sitter!?"

"Calm down grumpy cat I just need help with an assignment please drive me there pleeeasse" Yuna pouted at her sister

"Fiiiiine it's not like I had anything to do. Mark you coming?"

"And that's my cue to leave thanks for the invitation but I don't want to look like a creep hanging out with girls I'll see you at school"
He left the empty packet of chips on the table and then left

"He couldn't even throw that in the trash guys are so" Yuna complained and threw away the empty packet

"You look so gay" Chaeryeong observed what her friend was wearing

"I wore whatever I could find and I wasn't planning on coming here"

Ryujin adjusted her black baseball cap

They were at the Chaeryeong's yard beside the swimming pool. Chaeryeong busied herself in helping Yuna with her school work.

"Why can't you ask your sister to help? She maybe a dumbass in real life situations but she's great in school unfortunately"

"She does help me most of the times and I thought I could try someone else since she's still under the Yeji's spell" Yuna casually responded

"You're so annoying" The older Shin pointed

"Because I'm always right"

Ryujin made a mocking face at her sister who did the same to her

Yuna looked up from her book

"Legend says if you say Yeji's name thrice anywhere a Ryujin suddenly appears"

Chaeryeong was laughing at the joke and Ryujin could not believe her eyes witnessing the ultimate betrayal from her friend.

"This is how you do it come on work with me people"  clapping sounds folowedy

"You wanted to see me" Ryujin made her presence noticed as she had one arm on her school bag which was hanging on her shoulder

"And where the hell do you come from?" Somi shot

" 'Hi Ryujin how was your day? Did you sleep well? ' could have surfaced"

"Hi Ryujin how was your day did you sleep well! You were with her right that's why you couldn't answer my calls" Somi interrogated her

"I don't owe you any explanation on who I hang out with and stop involving my sister in this mess"

"So I'm right" Somi completely ignored what Ryujin said

Ryujin was in no mood to argue so she decided it was for the best to keep her silence on the matter.

Somi got way too close leaving no room in front

"When she leaves you again don't come back crawling I'm not your second choice" Somi marched out of the field leaving the team to train on their own.

Her words lingered on Ryujin's mind.

What if she got attached to her and then leaves again?

She wanted to make a surprise visit thankfully she had no other commitments and she had the time to surprise her.

"That's a wrap everybody good job"

Ryujin was staring proudly at the girl who was high five'ing her students who returned a proud smile at her.

Seeing Yeji dance and being in her zone was one of her favourite things because she was really good at it.

Everyone left and the dance studio was now empty except for Ryujin and Yeji who were the only ones inside

"Who told I was here?" Yeji wiped herself with a towel

"I was at your house and your helper told me where you actually were she could not resist my charm as expected" Ryujin proudly smirked

"I need to up my security then"

"I can leave then"
Ryujin turned the opposite direction

" No no no wait I was kidding please stay" Yeji pouted while holding her by the arm

"Then dance with me"

"What?"

"I mean it"

Yeji ran a hand nervously through her own hair and accepted Ryujin's request

Her phone was still connected to the speakers in the room and seconds later music started filled the silence it wasn't fast nor too slow it was perfect.

Yeji started moving to the beat and closing the gap between her and Ryujin, she whispered "Are you just gonna stand there and stare?"

Ryujin could feel her breath as they were only few inches away from each other.

One small move closer

And without any hesitation she joined the other and they moved in sync.

They were communicating with each other using their bodies as the music guided them. It was almost if they were the only ones present in their own world. A world where they can be with each other no matter what.

The song ended and they were now facing each other their foreheads colliding. Ryujin kept on glancing at her lips and Yeji did the same and slowly closing the distance between them with their eyes closed-

*ring ring*

"Oh shoot" Yeji cursed

Yeji broke them apart and answered her phone immediately, "Sorry I was helping out one of my students I'll be there soon bye" She ended the call

"Forget what just happened and excuse me I need to lock up... Please"
She avoided eye contact with her

Moments later Ryujin left the dance studio allowing the girl to lock up.
