Chapter Sixteen

"Is it because i was not enough?" Chaeryeong attempted to get on the table but Minju was quick to stop her from doing so

When intoxicated the red head became way too emotional and out of control

"I swear i'm close to losing it" Minju pinched her nose and held up her hands up in frustration

"And what have i done?" Ryujin asked the individual who was staring at her

"So now I can't look at my best friend?"

"Not with that expression"

Ryujin then looked down on her shoulder finding a sleeping Yeji.

Ryujin was jealous on how she can sleep anywhere even in the huge noise caused by the drunk individuals.

She could not relate

She could also not help on how attractive her features were when she was asleep. Her perfectly curved lips, nose and jawline.

Her head was paining from the alcohol that she drank not so long ago

"What's on Ryujin's mind?" Minju joined Ryujin on the other side of the couch "And your ass didn't tell me about the YG offer?"

"Huh?"

"The school's gossip column is buzzing right now with many imagining how good you would have fit there" Minju lifted her brow "I'm not going to be angry over not telling me but I'm just glad you made the right decision"

"I wasn't planning to join them i'm happy where i am" The girl assured her friend

"Some were not happy with the news about their captain"

"And i don't care about what they think"

She actually did

How was the team going to trust her after almost joining the rivals and who the hell leaked the news?

"Your mouth says one thing but your face screams otherwise" Minju pointed

"Please" Ryujin pleaded with her to stop

"Goodluck with your girlfriend duties captain"  Minju told her "This is the part where you say she's not your girlfriend" This time she screamed at a distance

Ryujin bit her lip while on her thoughts

Yeji slowly woke up rubbing her eyes for clear vision and also because the lights were blinding her, Ryujin found it adorable

"You are tired let's get you in bed" Ryujin told her

"I'm not sleepy anymore and spending the whole night with you is something i would never miss"

"Mhmmm" Ryujin put a finger on her chin "So you are telling me all of this because you got your fair share of sleep and then there's me, sleep deprived?" Ryujin teased her as usual

"I fought off the great urge to throw a pillow on your face" Yeji spoke

Ryujin pretended to gasp,"If i end up with bruised face then who's pretty and attractive face are you going to look at?"

"Yours but with bruises"

"That's cruel!"

"That's the exact thing i said when couldn't find my favourite ice cream flavour at the palour"

"I thought you hated ice cream?"

"I only hate it when it gives me cold during winter" Yeji answered the other "And if someone offered to buy me one anytime i would still eat it yes"

"Now how did we go from bruises to ice cream?" Ryujin asked the other causing both to laugh at the ridiculous conversation

"I really missed this" Yeji spoke to the other but this time her voice was serious
She placed her head on Ryujin's shoulder "I feel warm and safe when i'm with you it's just that..." She stopped herself from continuing

"Why does it feel like there's something you are not telling me?" Ryujin asked her "Till when are we going to hide?"

"We are still together right?"

"We are miles away from our homes and this is one of the rarer times we can sit and talk like this i want to kiss and hold your hand in public" Ryujin told her

Yeji adjusted herself to face her she opened her mouth as if she was ready to say something but she closed it again, "I'm going to bed goodnight Ryujin"

She got up and left the other without answers again

Ryujin noticed on how drunk and loud Chaeryeong and Heejin were and she found the scene entertaining

"If there was any new great mysteries in the world it would be your mind" Lia interrupted the girl who was way too deep into her thoughts
"Care to share?"

"It's nothing much just worried about the soccer finals"

"And i'm supposed to believe that?" Lia inquired "You and Yeji are back to having that tension and what it is this time?"

"She's hiding something from me and i don't know how i should feel"
Ryujin blurted "She doesn't trust me"

"What if it's something really personal to her?"

"She still needs to tell me"

"But she's not obligated to" Lia reminded her

Pain

It's not like they were dating so there was definitely no reason for Yeji to tell her everything but it was unfair for her to be in the dark

Yeji came back to Seoul but why it still felt like Yeji was far away from her
