Chapter Nine

Being a senior year meant to be busy busy as expected. The soccer team still maintained their winning status and it was currently on a short hiatus. Ryujin hasn't been attending work that much due to her studying commitments.

The year was very demanding to her and she could not believe how she was still standing in the middle of the storm.

As part of their history project they were told to visit a local museum.  Ryujin suggested the idea of together since they all shared the same class. Chaeryeong, Lia, Yeji and Mark were amongst the present in the room.

"This is so cool!" Mark complimented at the bunch of paintings that each showed parts of history. 

"What's so cool about people dying?" Lia asked him

"I was referring to the paintings duh" 

The group of friends took pictures and jotted down planning to use the new information on their history assignment. 

"I'd rather learn about you you're far more interesting" Ryujin interrupted the woman who took them around the museum she was clearly older than her

"Ssshhh" Chaeryeong hushed her friend and refocused her attention

They left the museum and were now outside allowing the cold wind to brush them luckily they came prepared with jackets

"That was the most boring moment of my life" Mark complained

"I thought you enjoyed it" Ryujin was surprised by his reaction

"Talking is what kept me from falling asleep"

They laughed at his ridiculousness

"And you Chaeryeong did you enjoy it?" He asked her

"I did actually" Chaeryeong answered

"And I thought I had a partner why am I friends with bunch of nerds"

"Don't include me I'm still wondering how I survived that" Lia joined him

Ryujin kept her hands warm inside her jacket

They were all walking home as the museum was not that far from them.
They were having their own conversation in front excluding Ryujin and Yeji who were trailing at the back.

Ryujin looked up at the girl who was unusually silent she was breathtaking she looked as if she directly came out of a movie she looked so unreal.
Ryujin went to walk beside her unintentionally matching their steps.

"Let me guess you are still thinking about me?" Ryujin teased in the hopes of getting a word out from the girl

"Not everything is about you" Yeji rolled her eyes at her

"But I can make it all about me like how i just made you smile this moment"

Yeji pushed her arm lightly and continued to walk looking at the ground shyly
"You never give up"

After the laughs died out, Ryujin exhaled loudly

"At least things are not awkward after what happened the last time" Ryujin pointed out

"Why would it be awkward when nothing happened?" Yeji questioned

"Nothing?" Ryujin interrogated her

Yeji sighed out of frustration
"Ryujin please don't"

"-Don't what?" The short girl interrupted

"Talking to you is like talking to a kid"

"Because I talk feelings?" Ryujin voiced

Yeji deliberately ignored her
