Chapter Twenty Four

It was the school's assembly and it was noisy as everyone was having their own conversation

The principal was finally on stage causing everyone to put a stop to their conversations

It was the same old preaching as usual

Bad behavior...
Maintaining the good reputation of the school...
Participating in activities...
It went on...

Ryujin looked on her right and a couple of students away she spotted Yeji with her breathtaking side profile which the man above took his time making it

Ryujin suddenly looked away as reality sets in

That's all she could do

Admire from afar and pretend as if they do not know each other

"Being a JYP student means representing a good image and being role model so that other students would want to study here..." His voice faded in the background

'blah blah blah why everything needs to be serious in life' Ryujin was frustrated as she thought to herself

"Now to the important and most anticipated part of every assembly" Mr Park took the microphone off it's stand

Students groaned and some booing knowing what was about to happen next

Mr Park could not care about what others thought of him he wanted to make sure everyone suffered with him

"Hit it" He informed the sound engineer

The traumatic backing track started
and to make it an even more terrifying experience Mr Park not only sang but danced as well

He was not the best singer but he had the confidence and guts to embarrass himself in front of hundreds of students and teachers

I guess that's the lesson one needs to take out off this

"He makes me feel like i sing like Beyoncé" Mark whispered to Ryujin

"How many more minutes can we take of this?"

"The song is about five minutes long"
Mark answered

"This is the kind of torture i did not sign up for"
"I'm going to the bathroom" Ryujin excused herself out

The hallways were awfully silent to the point one can hear their heart beating

Ryujin placed her hands inside her pocket, her usual habit and walked the silent hallways

Few moments later she stopped on her tracks at the presence of someone and they were now facing each other at a reasonable distance

"Hi" Yeji greeted her first

"Hi" Ryujin awkwardly returned the greeting

"I have this feeling that you are not happy to see me"
"Judging on how you have been avoiding me"

"I'm not avoiding you i'm giving you the space that you need"
Ryujin told her

"I never said i needed space and never said we should break up either"
"And you do not have to explain yourself because if that's how you feel then i wish you all the best"
Yeji attempted to walk past Ryujin but Ryujin grabbed her hand and stopping her from walking away

They were facing opposite directions making it impossible for an eye contact

"I'm sorry that there are lot of things i need to fix about myself" Her voice cracked towards the end and immediately let go of her hand and went back to her original mission
