Chapter Fourteen

"I can't believe you complained about driving here only for you to drive here yourself"

"Only for you" Ryujin whispered
"You said you come here to clear your so i brought you here to clear your mind

Yeji squizzed Ryujin's hand

"My father told me to stay away from you nothing new" She sat at her usual spot looking ahead "He will never understand me"

Ryujin who took a seat beside her took her hand and traced them using her fingertips

"He thinks he know what i want" She continued looking ahead

"What do you want?"

Yeji cupped her cheeks forcing her to look at her,
"I want a future with you"

Ryujin stared into her eyes which carried sadness behind them
"But your father-"

"I don't care what he thinks" She interrupted "He can disown me for all i care i'm tired of running away from what i want" She placed both of her hands on her lap
"Let me fight for us this time even if it means losing everything" She assured the whisker-dimpled girl

Ryujin was not sure how she felt about Yeji possibly losing everything that she has worked hard for.

She was not much on the public eye the way her parents were due to her age but as time goes on she had to build a name for herself. Was it possible to build her name without her parents?

"And then i dumped her on the spot"
Ryujin side eyed the girl next to her as she took out her books from her locker

"You should hook me up with your friends Ryujin come on" Heejin slightly hit her arm

"They are not interested in soccer players and they are both straight" Ryujin lied trying to get Heejin off her back

"But Lia texting me and inviting me for the summer tells me otherwise" She playfully smirked

"You better stay the hell away from her" Ryujin warned her "I don't want her to be the next victim of your games"

"I still don't understand how a girl like Yeji tolerates you're such a party pooper" She shut the locker that did not belong to her

She's lucky that Ryujin could not use her captain power on her

"So where are we going for the summer?" Yuna jumped in excitement

"Home, home and home" Ryujin pretended to count something meaningful "We still have a day of school left"

"Ryujin i know you will be away with Lia I'm kind of sad as this will be our last summer that we will be spending together and i need to let loose for once"

Ryujin eyed her suspiciously
"If this is about drinking then no"

"There's more to life than just drinking and everytime i see someone drunk it looks like they are possessed with some demon" She shook her body in disgust

Ryujin laughed at her sister
"That's an interesting way to describe it"
"I will make sure to come back earlier so i can spend time with you" She continued "I promise"

"I wished Minju attended the same school as us she is too good to be at YG"

Ryujin remembers how she met Minju at the JYP vs YG game. She did not know she attended the rival school but when Minju told she did not care because she has always find the beef between the schools childish and unnecessary.

"YG is a good school unfortunately"

The soccer team was on hiatus but Ryujin could not help and think about the possibility of meeting YG at the finals.

The teams never agreed on anything but this time it will be more intense as she has turned them down and YG did not like to be turned down.

Ryujin was at the theater watching Chaeryeong direct the group of students. Chaeryeong looked like an angel on the outside but that did not stop her from being a complete different person when it came to work.
She wanted everything to be as perfect as possible.

"Move to the right not the left" She pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration. "Let's call it a day" She clapped to get everyone's attention

And seconds later the theater students packed their things and some of them recognized and bid their byes to Ryujin on their way out

"You got this on the bag" Ryujin complimented her friend

"Yeah i want the whole world to end me cause it is clearly not looking good" She took her backpack in exhaustion

"I think you did great don't be too hard on yourself" Ryujin looked at her wrist "Where's Lia? She promised to be here"

"Maybe she has a meeting probably head girl responsibilities" The red head suggested
"Now's my turn to ask, Where's Yeji?"

"What do you mean? You saw her earlier here at school"

"But she was avoiding us"

"She is going through alot right now"

"And that's why this outing will do her good" Chaeryeong stated

Ryujin doubted that she will come

"Why can't her father accept things as they are?" Ryujin complained

"Because she comes from a family which the whole world is watching and don't even try to say I'm defending him it's just that not everyone is open to same sex relationships nowadays we still got a long way to go" Chaeryeong pointed out
