Chapter 42

Third person's POV

Two weeks later, Chaeyoung was announced the winner of the national art competition. Her artworks were displayed in the gallery of the famous artist Jo Joon Ki. With her unique and quirky style, she was fast to be noticed by many art lovers, nationally and internationally. Even just as a rookie in the industry, people are willing to pay ten to twenty millions won for each of Chaeyoung's art pieces.

Time flies and they are now all graduated from Daehan university. Mina, Sana and Momo joined forces and opened one of the biggest and most successful dance school in the country. The three manage it together and they also work as dance teachers along with many other dance teachers that work for them. Nayeon and Jungyeon opened a restaurant together as both are good cooks, the restaurant is doing very well, they are thinking of opening more franchises. Tzuyu debuted as a solo singer, with her amazing visual and vocal, she quickly became successful and very well known across all Asian countries. Chaeyoung and Dahyun also work together, they opened their very own art gallery, which is a huge success. Their names are famous in the industry, their artworks are highly sought after, with people are willing to pay big cash just to have one of their pieces.

Doesn't matter how busy they are with their own works, Mina and Chaeyoung always make sure they would have every weekend to be with just each other.

It's one Sunday, Chaeyoung takes Mina to visit her grandparents at their farm house. It's one of their regular visits, ever since they started dating, Chaeyoung would take Mina to see her grandparents every two or three weeks.

Mina and Chaeyoung walk past the gate and immediately see Chaeyoung's grandparents are busy picking strawberries,

'Grandma, Grandpa!' They call out,

Grandma and Grandpa smile brightly seeing the two. They stop whatever they were doing, standing up,

'My beautiful granddaughter, you are here!' Grandma exclaims and starts to walk over,

Chaeyoung smiles, she also walks over to her Grandma with her arms wide open. But Grandma just passed by her and walks straight to Mina, hugs her tightly. Mina hugs Grandma back, poking her tongue out at Chaeyoung to tease her.

Chaeyoung looks at the two in a deadpan manner, 'So am I second place to you now, Grandma?'

They break the hug, Grandma looks at Chaeyoung, 'Well, yes, you come second ever since the first time you took Mina here to see us.' Then she turns back around to look at Mina, 'Aigoo, my pretty granddaughter. How is it possible that you are getting more and more beautiful every time I see you?' She fondly says to Mina,

Mina smiles, 'Am I, Grandma? Maybe because Chaeyoung treats me so well.' She says, wanting to cheer her girlfriend up,

'She better be treating you well, or else...' Granpa says while walking over,

'Yes, yes, I don't dare mistreat your precious granddaughter.' Chaeyoung is now playing along, she is so happy seeing how much her grandparents adore Mina.

They all laugh out loud at Chaeyoung's playful statement. Mina and Chaeyoung then also help with the strawberry picking. After that, they all come inside the house, preparing food for lunch. After checking all the ingredients, Grandma hands to Mina the familiar basket and the small shovel. Mina's face lits up, she enjoys digging up vegetables eveytime they come here,

'Grandma, which vegies do you want me to dig up this time? Potatoes? Or carrots?' She eagerly asks,

'No Darling, we don't need potatoes or carrots today. Can you dig up some parsnips?' Grandma says,
