karna's struggle: fulfilling the destiny

Karna and Shakti tried to talk to people about the conditions of the kingdom,what was really going on but the people were very scared and could not tell anything properly,some even told karna to run away or he would also be taken by the demon.
Finally ,they decided to go to the palace and talk to the king himself.
On reaching the palace,they were more astonished to find it in shambles and no one was around ,only a few palace workers could be seen . They asked one such worker to be taken to the king .
When asked what they wanted ,they told him that they wanted to talk to the king about the kingdom's current conditions and help in any way they can.

The elderly servent gave them a sorry look and told that no one can help them with their problems,many warriors came but they all were vanished by the asur.
Karna and shakti asked to be taken to the king, so that they could talk to him in detail but he said that his king and crown prince were also killed by the asur ,only the queen remained.
So ,he will take them to the queen,of they are really eager to put their life in danger.

The queen looked very sad and asked them to leave ,when they told her ,who they were and what they wanted to do,she said that she will not be able to take the blame of anyone else's blood on her hands.
Many had already died and she does not believe that her kingdom could be saved anymore,she is only here as it is her duty ,not to leave her people.
But when Shakti and karna insisted on knowing the truth and helping,she obiliged and begin to tell her story.
The kingdom's name was Ishaan pradesh and their king was Ishaankumar, though small kingdom,it was a prosperous one and their king was very generous and kind.
But one day, an asur named mundaasur came to the nearby forest,he started to abduct many young village men and children,and caused vandalism,he and his subordinates killed many people and soldiers ,who tried to fight them.

First ,the crown prince went to fight the asur but sadly ,he was killed. Said the queen with tears in her eyes visibly shaken.
After that the king went,but never to return ,all soldiers and army perished just like that ,many warriors came but no one was successful in defeating the asur.
All the people he has abducted ,he is going to sacrifice ( Bali) them to asur's god Asurdev on the coming Amavasya ( new moon)and would bear a necklace made up of the sacrifised persons heads, which is tomorrow. After the sacrifice he will become invincible.

After tomorrow Everything is going to be over ,all the men and children of the kingdom will die and all the women will commit sati , elders will die in sorrow,and this kingdom would be taken over by the mundaasur and he will keep on spreading evil in the world.
Queen was devastated and cried freely at this point.

Shakti went near her and hugged her ,she said firmly,

"Now that my brother is here ,you will not loose your kingdom,that asur will surely pay for crimes ,he did."

The queen looked towards karna quizzically,for her he looked like a well built and handsome man but of lower status,he may have basic fighting skills but not skilful enough to kill that mighty demon.so she said,
"No, it seems that you guys are travellers, go on your own way, it don't want you to put your life in danger...and then we is nothing I could offer you on behalf of your help ,so just leave."

"We don't need anything from you ,maharani. We only want to save lives as a duty and don't worry about our lives,we can defend  ourselves against the enemy."said karna.

"But..."
"No.. but...just tell us about the dwelling of that asur." Asked Shakti.

"Ok ,but I am going to help as well. "Said queen finally.

Then they made a plan to defeat the asur. It was decided that karna would let himself be deliberately captured by the asur's subordinates. He will go nearby the asur's dwelling place and be loud ,so that the other asur's come to capture him and then when he gets a chance ,he will challenge mundaasur for a duel and when the duel is going on and all the asur subordinates are busy watching the fight.
Shakti and maharani with Vayujit help will break the door of prison and take the prisoners away towards safety.

Shakti nodded.
But the queen was astonished as how a single person could fight all the asurs alone and she said as much but karna told her not to worry , everything would be fine and they will be able to save all the citizens.

So next day ,they worked according to plan ,
First karna went near asur's place and started to make loud noises.any asur came hearing the noise and captured him ,they took him to mundaasur ,who ordered him to be put with the other prisoners,thus Shakti and maharani ,who were spying on them while hiding behind the trees got to know the location of the prisoners.
Some te later karna enticed one of the asurs saying that it is better if he is not allowed out of the prisoner otherwise he would have killed all of them , especially their king mundaasur.
The asur being dimwitted went to mundaasur and told him ,what karna has said.
In his arrogance mundaasur asked karna to be brought in front of him.
Karna on seeing mundaasur immediately challenged Jim for a one on one hand to hand combat ,which he immediately accepted.
Saying that he is fulfilling karna last wish before the sacrifice ritual.
It will also be a good entertainment for his subordinates ,so he asked them to watch.

Shakti and maharani took benefit of this moment and went towards the cells in which the kingdom's men. And children were,karna has already told one of them that they would be rescued today so, be patient  and co-operate , when the help arrives .

So,on seeing Shakti and maharani they became very happy,Shakti and maharani
Broke the gate of the prison , their sound was not heard by the asur because they all were making loud noises cheering mundaasur.
All the citizens were going  back to the kingdom ,when Shakti started to return.

The queen asked her what she was doing to which she replied that she will not leave her dada here alone .Shakti asked maharani to go with her people and take care of them.
She and her dada will surely join them with the good news of mundaasur's death as soon as they can.
After that , Shakti went back and saw karna  about to extirpate mundaasur's head from his body,at the time he looked like the Rudra avatar of Mahadev himself,the other asur watching their king about to loose his life attacked karna ,at this point Shakti took her knife out and charged toward the asurs ,as soon as they were sliced with her knife ,they would disintegrate.
Karna has already killed mundaasur by now, he joined Shakti and together,they killed all the asurs,thus putting an end to third terror reign and saving the lives of the citizens of Ishaanpradesh.
