The Beginning

Bella's Pov

I can't believe it; he's in my arms; it's real. All these months without him,

I couldn't imagine being embraced by him again. I'm afraid that he would

disappear again if I were to let go. He'd be just like my other illusions.

"You're alive?" Edward questions me. I can hear the disbelief in his voice.

"I am" I repeat myself in fear he didn't believe me."I am."

Edward hesitantly takes a step back from me. I found myself caught in his

piercing gaze. I wonder if he felt the same as me, completely in disbelief of my

presence.

Suddenly, the mood shifted as my phone buzzed away in my pocket. Irritation

spread in me when I realized who it was. My cousin Madeleine spamming me

with text messages. She was persistent. She wanted to know what was

happening.

Fortunately, Alice was determined to leave Madi behind instead of bringing

her along with us to Italy. She explained to me on the way that her vision

showed Madi's death if she would have come along. The idea of Madi's death

on my hands was too much for me to even think about.

I let out a sigh as I quickly texted her

I'll call in 30 mins.

"Madi?" Edward questioned in an amused tone.

"Yeah, she's worried about me," I could feel my face warm. The moment with

Edward ruined it.

I watched Edward's demeanor change. His face fall and his eyes hardened. I

was confused, so I turned my head to follow Edwards's gaze and noticed two

figures cloaked in shadow heading in our direction.

One was a bit smaller than the other. He had dirty blonde hair and piercing

red eyes. The one beside him had a larger frame and dark brown hair . His

physique could rival even Emmett.

the shorter of the two held a smug look on his face as he spoke."Aro requests

your presence."

Edward scoffs, "I am in no longer need of his services," He gently pushes me

behind him.

"He isn't asking."The taller one replied with a pointed look.

Edward sighs and turns to me with a forced smile and stiffly says, "Why don't

you go enjoy the festival."

Before I could even argue, I was abruptly cut offby an unfamiliar voice.

"The girl comes with us."

Edward shakes his head. He slowly turns to them, "No, she isn't apart of this."

"That's enough. The masters are waiting." The voice sharply snaps, cutting
