Today is the day.

By text, of course. I know he lives right down the street, but I've tried multiple times to tell him in person and I always got nervous, making up some other excuse.
"Kazuha...?"

"I have something to tell you."
"What is it?"
"Um... I... Got an A on my poetry assignment today!"
"That's great, Y/n! I'm glad your talent is being recognized."
I feel humiliation overwhelm me at the memory. Only one of many examples I could give. I pace around my room, phone in hand, while I type my message. I lost count of how many times I've rewritten it, to be honest.
It's okay. It's okay. He'll still be your best friend, even if he doesn't like you back, and he probably doesn't, but he deserves to know about this. Right? Right.
My hands are trembling as my thumb hovers over the 'send' button. I take a deep breath and press.
