Chapter 36

"You can never have enough of me?" Even in my conditions, I let a small chuckle escape my lips. "I'm flattered."

"It's a shame really. You having to become a demon." Claude walked towards me an lifted my chin.

"It's your damn fault. Does the night of Sebastian throwing knifes in my back at your manor ring a bell?"

"Oh why yes, it does. But I remember it as the thrilling night that you became my toy." He let go of my chin and tore my shirt off the nail.

I grimaced as he harshly dragged me across the floor.

"Hey! Where are we go-!" I was interrupted by my own coughing.

"Now now now, if you keep talking you won't have any of your voice left to scream."

As he continued to drag me across the floor I finally quit my coughing.

I wiggled and squirmed at his grip but he didn't let go. I tried clawing his fist, that only made his grip tighter.

It seemed like we walked for forever but it was only a few minutes. We soon found our selves in a smaller room than the one before.

It was decorated with webs across the rounded ceiling. The room was circular shaped and had a rough-edge flooring. The candle light danced across the brick surroundings. Flickering every way.

Claude threw me on the ground. I tumbled and slid as my strings broke attaching my top to my bottom reveling more than it should have.

Claude chuckled. "Oh my, you really want to get all rumbled up this evening."

"Ha. Ha. Your soo funny." I replied coldly as I lifted my skirt and lowered my top. "Why am I here any ways? Yes I do understand that is the way to becoming a demon, but didn't I do that at the Trancy manor?"

"You're here because, now that you don't have any immortal blood left in your pathetic body. You have to make the final transformation." Claude seemed a little annoyed, yet amused at the same time.

"How the hell am I going to do that?"

"You will see, I promise." His voice died to a whisper as he said 'promise'.

Black fire flared all around the room. The candles died, and the black fire left a dark and dim azure lighting. The fire flickered like waves crashing against rocks along the coast. Claude was no where in sight. Like the light, he was gone.

The darkness soon became over whelming. The flames grew larger, or I was getting smaller. Either way it was alarming.

I had to get out, but how? I didn't see a hallway as we entered, and if the rooms are all like the rest, I'm pretty sure that this entrance to the room is gone as well.

The more I tried to find a way out, the more intimidating the wave like fire became.

Soon it was too much and I fell to the floor. The fire began to make noises. It crackled and sizzled, bringing memories of home with my family trying to stay warm in the dead of winter. But it also brought the memory of my deceased friends Rachel, Vincent, burning in front off my eyes.

I had to get out, I had to.

I stood up ready to run to the wall and find a doorway. I was fingertips away from the beat up and ridged wall when the fire crashed down upon me.

It was suffocating as the fire acted like the ocean drenched in blood.

Sticky.

Thick.

Dark.

But instead of crimson red, it was black. Dark as the night, but darker, deeper, scarier.

It all happened so quick.

I struggled to keep above the blood as I trashed in the thick heap. I started to sink, survival kicked in and I shot out off the vital fluid. I gasped for air, to feel the sweet sensation to fill my lungs, just to get pulled back under.

I tired to stay above the substance but my limbs were so tired and blemished, I couldn't move. My eyes were becoming heavy, and my mind was going numb. I was slowly loosing myself.

The thick darkness blinded me, as the gooey gore started to fill my lungs. I shut my eyes and let my thoughts flow. Before everything is gone I hear a meow. Like a cat meow, or was it just the madness in this mess. I let it go and let myself slip away.
