Let me start off by saying thank you to those of you that submitted questions. It's just always more fun to include you guys in things, and I hope you enjoy this special chapter. It gives you all something to read while I really take my time getting these next few chapters right.

With that being said, I think we'll start off this interview with our leading lady, Marley Jones.

***

So, Marley, a lot of people want to know, how are you doing after the death of Grams? We were all so sorry to read about her passing.

M: Oh, um, well...I'm doing okay. Still learning how to cope with the loss. Sometimes I feel like I'm handling it poorly, but I've got people around that remind me regularly that there's no wrong way to grieve, so that helps. It's been tough, though. I miss her deeply.

Were you aware that many readers actually have experienced very similar pain? The support in the comments is unbelievable. So many of them say they can relate to what you're going through. How does that make you feel?

M: No, I wasn't aware, actually. I haven't had much time to check in, but that makes me feel...devastated. They've gone through a loss so great. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I would be lying, though, if I didn't say it's also comforting to know I'm not alone.

You are definitely not alone.

Okay, to move along to some lighter questions, how is Spud doing?

M: Oh, Spud is living his best life. It's funny, the other day I came home from work and normally he's racing to the door to greet me. I start looking all over the house for him and do you know where I found him?

Where?

M: Laid up in my bed, under my blankets, with his head on my pillow. I have never seen him do that, but I had to take pictures, it was too funny.

Speaking of funny, what's the funniest thing you and Joel have done together?

M: Hmmm...funniest thing we've ever done together? Geez, let me think...

It's hard to pinpoint an exact moment. To be honest, I'm not sure this story actually captures how funny Joel is. He can make me laugh at the drop of a hat, it doesn't matter what we're doing, and that has been so impactful during my healing process.

You don't think my writing shows how funny Joel is? 😢

M: Oh, uhhh. Heh, next question?

The audacity 🤧. Okay, what's your biggest pet peeve when it comes to Joel?

M: Oh, I don't even have to think about that! It really grinds my gears when Joel leaves the toilet seat up. 😑 I have fallen in late at night multiple times, and he just laughs and says he's sorry.

Oh God. How could he do such a thing?!

M: I know right?! Oh, and don't get me started on how he leaves his dresser drawers just barely open. Barely! Like, why not take the extra millisecond to finish pushing it in all the way.

That's what she said.

M: I--

Oops, I meant to say I'll have to ask him about that. Okay, last question until you come back out later.

M: Alright, I'm ready.

This is actually about Emma. A handful of people actually wanted to know how she's doing and if we can get an update on if she's talked to Frankie yet about...y'know, wanting to start a family soon. Can you tell us anything?
