"There's always next time... There's always next time..."

Fortunately, they escaped, Misha, Skullshatterer, Thanatos, Izanami, all of them were alive and kicking. The bad news was, a lot of troops were lost, massive blow to Reunion's numbers just for a single person, and Kevin was captured by the enemy.

But knowing Talulah's state of mind as of this moment, she couldn't care less about the men that lost but on Misha has instead.

Skullshatterer:...

He tightly gripped his pants, wondering if he made the right choice siding against Talulah. Right now, it didn't feel like it at all, but he had to acknowledge that Y/n kept his promise to Misha regarding reuniting them.

Seeing his troubled state, Misha gripped his arm reassuringly, receiving a troubled stare in return. She gestured her head to Thanatos who peacefully slept ok her shoulder, like a child sleeping after weeks of staying up.

Misha: We are all alive and in the same room together, that's what matters most right now. So please relax, brother.

Skullshatterer: I know, it's just... I don't know what to do anymore. My life after you two were gone was turned upside down, I only had rage left at the time. Now that you two are here... I'm lost.

Misha: Alex... I can't say I understand what you are going through. I have been extremely lucky that I ended up in Lungmen and met Sath- I mean Y/n in process. He might not look like it with his attitude and actions, but he is self-aware, he knows what he's doing.

Alex: Heh, you really think so?

Misha: I know so. Opportunities like these don't come that often, Y/n is willing to help us, we should take it. For those we have left.

Alex: Huh?

Misha: Oh, it's just something I came up with in Lungmen.

At the end of the vehicle, behind where Misha and Skullshatterer sat, was a dimly lit seating area of the truck that was empty of people, but not Hyndlas. In a corner was Izanami, curled up into a ball with her arms shielding her face.

Her mind was playing tricks, that was it. That's why she couldn't take her mind off of what Y/n said back in Lungmen.

"Visit his grave."

"South... Laterano... Sandstorms..."

Izanami:...Shut it before I kill all of y'all.

"*whimper*"

One of the Hyndlas, a skinless, bloody hound with a black spot in its neck was one of her favorites. She refused to name him to make sure that other Hyndlas wouldn't rebel because of her favoritism. The Hyndlas let out a whimper that sounded more like a cackle, she noticed the sounds and brought a hand, cooing as she soothed it.

The Hyndlas were always with her, carrying an aura that resembled her younger brother's. She didn't ask much questions as to how they were made, but she was grateful to his creator. You could say that it was the Hyndlas that kept her going, motivating her to kill her younger brother.

But now that she knew he was possibly dead, what was their purpose now?

Izanami: I'm okay... I'm okay... Your big sister is alright... I know y'all are in pain but please, wait a bit more...

"*whimper*"

Izanami: Shh... How about this? I relieve your pain now? But don't tell the others, okay?

The Hyndlas' crooked smile stretched even wider, giving a sign of agreement. Izanami moved her tail to position under its neck, tears streaming down as she gave a melancholic yet happy grin and few chuckles that cracked her voice.
