Chapter 84

Adriana's POV

I can't sleep here and it's probably cause I've never really slept in my own room. I'd always sleep in Aleksandr's cause I hated sleeping alone.

I decide to go downstairs to drink some water

As I'm pouring myself a glass I feel someone behind me. I grab a knife and turn around.

Alek grabs my wrist before I can kill him. He flicked on the light so I could see him

"What are you doing up so late?" he asks

"I can't sleep so I came for some water. What are you doing up so late? Did you just get back from work?" I ask him

"Yeah there was a really bad car crash and they needed me to come in."

"Did your patient survive?" I asked

"Yeah, it was a kid around your age. Dumbass stole his step dad's car now he's gonna be paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of his life."

I hugged him and he hugged me back

He hates dealing with kids at work because it makes him fear for me more.

"You should go to bed. I'm sure Mabel is waiting." I told him

"I'm sure she is." He groaned

"Do you love her?" I asked

"Of course I love her. Thanks my future wife and the mother of my unborn child." He literally rolled his eyes saying that

"You're lying. Why the fuck are you with her?"

He pinched my ear and pulled it

"Why the fuck are you so comfortable cursing around me?"

"Ow ow ow! Stop I'm sorry." I whined

"Volkov's don't whine." He muttered and let go

He suddenly fell over when Av came and tackled him. He started licking him and doing zoomies so Alek would play with him

"Avalanche I don't want to play." He groaned

"He's really happy here. He wants you to let him out in the snow."

"I'll play with you tomorrow."

"I can take him outside in a bit."

"No you're not. It's nearly 3 in the morning. If he's done his business for the night he can wait until tomorrow."

"Fine."

"Do you want to sleep in my room?" he asked

"If you don't mind."

"Grab snacks and we can do movie night again."

"Can we watch a scary movie?"

"Sure." he shrugged

I grabbed a bunch of snacks and started making popcorn while he showered and kicked out Mabel

I put on The Collector and started to eat my two favorite chips that are only found in Russia. Pickle and dill lays and mushroom and sour cream lays.

"You're getting crumbs on my bed. Don't you know how to eat?"

"Nope." I shook my head

"This is the shit you watch?" he asked

"Shhhh and watch the movie."

This movie had a lot of gore. I didn't think Mr. Mafia boss had a weak stomach

I liked that I'd get this movie night with Alek. It reminds me of when I lived with him. He was my best friend when I was younger. I could talk to him about anything and he'd listen. He was always level headed with me.

"I can't keep watching this shit JJ. Goodnight, I love you." he kissed my forehead

"Night, Love you too. Thanks doing this with me again."

He was already snoring so I turned off the tv and fell asleep too.

Morning

"ADRIANA!" I heard someone yelling

"JJ wake up!"

"No thanks," I groaned and turned over

"What the fuck is this?" I felt someone yank me out of bed

"What is wrong with you?! She's a child pervert this is highly inappropriate!" mom scolded

"We were just sleeping." Alek yawned and rolled his eyes

And he says I have an attitude who rolls their eyes first thing in the morning?

"You're an adult man in bed with my 14 year old daughter. How am I supposed to react?"

"He raised her. We all saw the pictures of her downstairs. This is their happy family you just happen to be in her life now. Even when she calls him dad it sound more natural and sincere than with you. If he didn't do anything before I'd doubt he'd do it now." Tyler said

"What would you know?"

"AJ and I hung out a couple of times as kids." he shrugged

"What?"

"He was super overprotective and mean to me. He used to call me little shit." Tyler chuckled

"You still are a little shit." Alek spat and got up

"Stop being mean." I told him

"I have work so everyone fuck off. I need to change."

"Did you always sleep in bed with him?" mom asked me

"Yeah, When he'd work late in the hospital I'd sleep in his bed and then when I'd wake up he'd be here."

"That's just inappropriate!"

"How? He's my dad!" I yelled at mom

"It's inappropriate because he isn't!"

"And you're not my fucking mom!" is what I would've said but Alek knew and covered my mouth with his hand

"I raised JJ. I'm more of a father to her than Alessandro will ever be. Be grateful I allow you in her life and I tell her to show you the respect of calling you two mom and dad." Alek told him
