Chapter 2

Adriana's Pov

The social work dropped me off yesterday to pack my stuff to move to California. So today I say goodbye to my life in NYC. My sperm donor is letting me bring Av so I'm really happy about that. I'm currently boarding the plane to my new home. I'm flying first class so I'm pretty comfortable.

I knocked out as soon as the plane took off. I'm currently waiting for my father to pick me up from the airport. It would've been nice if someone showed me his picture or idk maybe gave me his number.

I'm waiting by an exit looking hella lost when a super tall middle aged man approaches me.

"Any chance you're Adriana Lombardi?" He asks with a thick Italian accent

"Who's asking?" I played dumb

I know exactly who Alessandro Lombardi is but he didn't need to know that so soon.

"Well I'm Alessandro Lombardi and I'm waiting for my daughter and you happen to look like me and my late ex wife." I love wasting time so let's drag this out

"What was your ex wife's name?"

"Xiomara Jimenez." he responded quickly.

"What did she do for a living?"

"She was a baker."

"Well looks like I'm yours." I say with a nervous chuckle. He smiles and gives me a warm bear hug. His hug couldn't top my family's

"Let's get going shall we?" he asks leading me towards a white Mercedes that screams expensive.

I nod and follow.

Before we drive off I realize I'm missing me giant 200ish pound dog.

"WAIT!" I yelled loudly and dad looks at me concerned.

"We still have to get Avalanche." now he looks confused

"My dog!" I say in a duh tone

He nods and we walk to pet pick up

"So which one is yours?"

I point to a giant crate sitting at the far end of the small area and start running and open the crate releasing the beast. Av tackles me and I can't help but laugh at my overly excited pupper. Yeah he's only 1 1/2 but already full grown. I get off the ground and tell Av to sit so I can put on his leash and he obeys like a good boy.

"I though you said he was a dog not a horse." dad says jokingly

"Yeah he's a big ole pup." I respond

"Well let's go then."

We head back to the car and actually leave this time.

I sit in the front and Av sits in the back. He has is head out the window and dad gave me aux so I'm vibing to Prince Royce.

"You speak Spanish?" He asks

"Yeah and Italian." I answer.

And Russian but I'm entitled to my secrets

"Good so do the boys." wait what boys

"I have brothers?" I ask confused even though I'm well aware

"Yeah I have 6 boys 5 of which are older than you."

WHAT THE FUCK 6 that's a lot

"Hey watch your mouth!" he barks I look at him confused

"Sorry dad I didn't mean to say that out loud." I say looking at my lap pretending to be embarrassed but in reality I hated calling him dad

I promised my family I'd give them a chance so calling him dad is a good start

"It's fine but don't let it happen again, understood?" I nod

"Verbal responses please."

Not this bullshit

I mumble an "okay".

After almost an hour and a half of driving we pull up to an enormous mansion

"We're here." dad says.

"Holy shit!" I say under my breath as I admire the house from inside the car.

"ADRIANA!" I jump at the sound of Alessandro's booming voice

"This is the last time I'm gonna tell you to watch your mouth."

jeez he heard me

"Why are you yelling?" I glare

"Because cursing is unladylike. Plus you're too young to be cursing."

"But, I also just entered your custody. You have no reason to ever yell like that."

"I'm not having this discussion with you. You're my daughter so you need to listen when myself or your brothers talk to you. Let's get inside and meet the boys and my wife." I get out and open the door for Av to hop out while dad grabs my luggage.

We go inside and I'm greeted by a group of giants.

"Hello." I say

"Boys introduce yourself." dad says.

"I'm Vincenzo 24, Matteo 21, Ace 19, Xander 16, and I'm his twin Xavier. AND IM ALESSIO YOUR TWIN!" They stare at me

"Well I'm Adriana age 13 and this big guy over here is Avalanche and he's one and a half and super friendly." I notice a very pretty women come downstairs to where we are

"I'm Charlotte and I'm your stepmom it's so nice to finally have a girl. I've been alone with these brutes for far too long."

I chuckle as I heard a chorus of "heys" from the boys.

"Nice to meet you. I like you already." and she hugs me. She's a good change from mom, however, I'm not in the market for a mom.
