Adriana's POV:

I woke up in what I assumed was Maddie's room. It was white and light blue. She had cheer trophies all over the place and pageant ribbons on her drawers. I brushed my teeth and went downstairs. Everyone was knocked out except Niko. I blushed and went over to him

"Hey Niko Im surprised you're up this early without Dimitri dragging you out of bed." I laughed

I decided that just cause we kissed that didn't mean we were gonna stop being BFF's

I thought I liked Niko in that way but the kiss confirmed who truly has my heart. Niko I'd attractive but he'll forever be my best friend. I also can't date so if I'm gonna sneak around I'll save it for someone I like like. As long as I have him in my corner I'll be okay.

The dick head doesn't respond which is out of the ordinary since I didn't do anything to him

"I said hey Niko."

"Yeah, I heard you and stop calling me Niko." He spat like the words were venom in his mouth

"What do you mean? That's what I've always called you."

"Yeah but that was before. I put a lot of thought into this but I think it's best we stop being friends." I felt my heart break into a million pieces. My eyes were watery

"Why? Is this about yesterday because it meant nothing just a stupid kiss." I told him

"It's more than that and you know it. Don't make this harder on yourself Adriana." he said my name so harsh and I was pissed

"You're a piece of shit Nikolai." I clenched my fist

"Don't bother coming to my birthday party at the end of the month either." he uninvited me then left

I feel like I just ruined our friendship. I sat on the ground behind the island in the kitchen and cried my eyes out. What hurt the most wasn't that I was rejected by my crush but that I lost my best friend.

"How could I be so stupid?" I asked myself. I stayed there in that spot for hours til Maddie saw me

"Hey hey what happened?" she asked concerned and I explained everything

"He's such an ass don't cry over him he's not worth it. He's too busy running from his emotions but trust me he'll come around and even if he doesn't you're better off." she comforted me

Niko and I have responsibilities that require us to interact. If he doesn't get his act together our parents and extended Russian family will find out.

We decided to stay inside all day and I ate my Taco Bell from last night. We watched movies then Enzo came and picked me up

I made the selfie Oscar and I took my wallpaper to see if Enzo would notice but he didn't during the car ride. I was still sad so I went to Enzo's room to see if he wants to make cupcakes with me.

"Hey Enzo! Wanna help me make cupcakes? I'm sad." I said frowning

"Sure, but why are you sad?" he asked

"Niko and I are fighting again." I answered and we went downstairs

"Who's Niko?"

"He's Dima's son."

"Why the fuck is Dima?" He asked even more confused

"Dima is a Russian nickname for the name Dimitri. You know Dimitri Ivanov."

"So you grew up with Niko?"

"Yeah, and after years we became best friends. I got along with Yuri who's Aleksandr's younger brother more. I would always argue and bet up Niko when we were kids. We'd get in trouble all the time for fighting. Well I mostly got in trouble cause Niko is a massive bitch and would literally cry if I'd punched him in the nose."
