Adriana's POV

The weeks gone pretty quick it's already Thursday which means it's picture day.

It's 5:00am and I haven't the slightest idea of what to do with myself. I'm already showered and I brushed my teeth.

I decide to go into mom and dad's room quietly and rip the covers off of them. And let me tell you, I felt instant regret

"Ah my eyes!" I screamed covering my eye

"Adriana!"

"Why are you naked?"

"Why are you ripping off our covers at 5 in the morning?" dad grumbled

"Today is picture day and I needed help. Aleksandr is at the hospital right now so he can't do my hair."

Mom squealed

"AJ we only have 3 hours! Alessandro out!" she ordered

"No it's my day off and I'm tired." all I heard was a loud thump

"Charlotte! Why would you do that?" I'm assuming she kicked him off the bed

"This is the only school picture I'm gonna get from her and it's gotta be perfect. If you don't leave right now I won't be responsible for my actions." she threatened him and he sighed

"You can uncover your eyes now we're dressed."

"Okay now AJ lets go to your closet, once we get you a cute outfit we'll do your hair and make up." she said determined

"We put on a black cover thing so the pictures are uniform in the yearbook. I don't need makeup for yearbook photos. So we just have to focus on my hair." I tell her

"We can go natural on the makeup then. As for your hair I'm thinking we straighten it."

"Dad would throw a fit."

"Alessandro won't care." She brushed off

"Sorry force of habit. Alek will lose his mind. He invested a lot of time and money into my hair. He says my curl patterns are really delicate so I'm not allowed to dye or straighten my hair. He says it's beautiful when I embrace it naturalness."

I used to hate my hair cause I found my curl ugly and wild. Aleksandr was the one who made me see it's beauty

"These are your senior pictures don't you want them to be perfect and neat. Curls are so messy and it'll take away from your beauty. We can add waves to your hair after we straighten it. I have a curling iron. This way they're clean and purposeful."

"Are you suggesting that my curls aren't clean and beautiful?" I frowned

"I'm just saying there's a time an place. You wouldn't wear sweatpants to an interview. I've been straightening my hair for years because it's easy to maintain and it looks better. People also treat you better. You'll look so pretty with Straight hair and it's only this once. Aleksandr can't control what you do with your body."

"He's not controlling anything. I just had a lot of insecurities when it came to my complexion and hair. He helped me see my beauty through daily affirmations and small things like that."

"His obsession with your hair is weird. Your relationship with him is inappropriate in my opinion."

"How?"

"You set on his lap, he carries you, the forehead kisses, and now the hair feels like he groomed you."

"He's the closest thing I have to a dad. I love him like a father figure and he loves me like a daughter. What's weird and inappropriate is you trying to sexualize our relationship."
