A loud sound filled the room. Jane took a deep breath and pressed her head into her pillow. She could feel it was early. Marcus reached out for his phone and pressed the snooze button. He rolled back to Jane and wrapped his arms around her. Just a few more minutes...

The alarm went off for the second time. Marcus turned around again and opened his eyes. He grabbed his phone and turned the sound off. It was early, and he already knew Jane didn't like it - even though it was her own proposal to get up this early. He put on the reading light on the nightstand.

"Babe?"

"Hmm?"

He pressed a kiss on her cheek. "Are you awake?" He kept looking at her. "We have to get up," he whispered against her skin.

She nodded and grabbed Marcus hand that was resting on her hip. "Yes," she whispered and yawned. "What time is it?"

"Quarter past seven."

Jane let out a deep sigh, letting him know she disagreed with this. Why do early mornings look so good the night before, but it seems like a disaster in the morning itself? She turned on her back and opened her eyes.

"Good morning," Marcus smiled.

"Hi." Jane closed her eyes again; her eyelids were too heavy to keep her eyes open. After a few minutes, she felt more awake, she opened her eyes again and looked in Marcus' direction. "Shall we get some breakfast somewhere on the way?"

Marcus stayed silent, he was playing with Jane's knotted bracelet. Francesca made the bracelet, and Jane was the best person to still wear it.

"We're going to get some breakfast at a hotel."

It made Marcus look up. "At a hotel?" Not a hotel...

"Yes. I heard they have good breakfast, and it's on our way to the beach, so why not?" Jane looked at her wrist and watched how Marcus played with her bracelet.

"Hmm-hmm. Fine. Let's go then." He got up and stretched his limbs.

Jane got up and washed her face. She only put on some sunscreen and waterproof mascara on her face. They were going to the beach, meaning they were gonna sweat and swim in the sea. So a full face of makeup was a waste of time. Jane put on her new bikini and looked in the mirror. Her expression dulled. "For real?" She sighed and grabbed another bikini. "Marcus? Can you help me?"

"Of course, love."

She held her bikini top together with her hand on her back. "Can you tie it tight? Not too tight, but also not too loose."

"Yes." He tied the bikini together and made a bow in it. "There you go, baby," he whispered and pressed a kiss on her shoulder. She turned around. "Wow, you look gorgeous," he widely smiled.

Jane raised her eyebrows. "Yeah? So you don't see it?" Their eyes met, but Jane quickly looked away.

"See what?"

She moved her bikini top a little bit to the side, and a love bite showed up. The purple spot was right on the line of the bikini top, but with the correct technique, you couldn't see it.

"Oh," Marcus mouthed and cheekily smiled.

"I don't mind it at all. It's just the beach, and I don't want your pa..." Fuck, why can't I hide it? "...people, fans, humans, to see it."

"I absolutely do not mind that people can see how great my love life is."

"Fuck off."

A laugh rolled over his lips, and he kissed her. "You look stunning, babe."
