"And how's Kisa doing?" Hatori's voice emitted through the telephone.

"She's getting there. Tohru's presence helps her a lot and she seems a lot more comfortable now." Ichika informed him, glancing over to the golden haired girl who sat by the table watching TV.

It has been three days since Kisa started living with them and Ichika wasn't the only one to notice the change in her after the first day. She was now a little more open and clingy with Tohru, following the brunette everywhere she went and would even wait right outside the door when Tohru needed to go to the bathroom.

It must be Tohru's effect, Ichika noted. Kisa had yet to utter any words, but it was still already a great progress for her. Ichika was starting to think staying by Tohru's side was some sort of rehabilitation for her.

"I see.. I'm glad. I was quite worried about her as she's one of the youngest among us. I heard her mother visited her the other day?"

"Oh yes. Tohru-chan told me her mother had met up with her and after confirming that she was safe, she left her in our care for a bit after that. It seems the both of them needed space from each other, though her mother couldn't help but call every so often to tell us about what Kisa's favourite dishes are to eat."

"It seems her mother is still worried." Hatori chuckled. "Speaking of which, what's your favourite dish?"

"M-Mine?" Was there a particular reason why Hatori was asking so suddenly?

"Mmhm."

Ichika bit her lip in thought. She had many favourable dishes that Tohru has made. They were all delicious and filled with umami flavours that she could never get back at her old home.

But there was always that one dish Hatori made for her on that very day that surpassed all of dishes she's tried. What was it called again? Ah!—

"Omurice." She muttered with a blush. But just not any omurice. Hatori's omurice.

"Omurice." Hatori repeated. Ichika could hear the smile in his voice. "Got it."

Before she ask anything of it, Hatori had to cut the call short.

"Alright, I have to get back to work now. Let me know if anything else happens, okay? I'll come down as soon as I finish some paperwork for my clients."

Ichika couldn't help but feel saddened that he had to go, but at the same time a tad bit excited and giddy to hear that she'll be seeing the Doctor soon.

"Okay, Hatori-san. Take care." She calmly said, trying her best not to make it obvious or a fool out of herself.

Just as the bluenette placed the phone down into the holder after the hour-long call, she felt a gentle tug on her shirt and she looked down to see the golden-haired girl had left her post in front of the TV and was now shyly staring up at her.

It also seemed that Tohru wasn't the only one Kisa had taken a liking to, though Ichika couldn't quite understand why. She had only offered the little girl a handful of candy one time because she knew kids liked candy. She remembered how Kisa's eyes sparkled as she carefully gathered the handful into her own small hands and ran off to hide them.

The memory made Ichika chuckle. She was adorable.

"What's wrong, Kisa-chan?" Ichika softly asked the younger girl.

Kisa pointed the loose braid Ichika had her hair styled in.

"You want a braid as well?"
