Stubbornness was a common characteristic of Park Jimin's, and tonight, it kept him rooted to the balcony, staring at the landscape gardens instead of manning up and clearing the blistering air between him and the woman who avoided him.

Why? Because today was nothing short of an unmitigated disaster.

After failing to locate Hoseok at the Ridge Tree, Jimin returned home and marched guns ablaze into the mansion to beat Tae to a pulp for scaring the shit out of Yunhee. The men separated them before a fight could break out in the foyer, but they could do little to stop the nasty argument that ensued.

Obscene language, an assortment of derogatory four-letter words paired with one or two violent shoves until the feuding duo relented with flaring nostrils and Jimin ordered everyone to regroup in the study.

One glance at his startled girlfriend, however, and his heart took a nosedive.

Nice one, dick head, Yunhee's eyes told him.

It was evident, as they walked to his study, that she was ready to set the record straight, that she was ready to forgive him for thoughtlessly yelling at them during the chaotic car chase, but his rash behaviour in the hallway had chucked him right back into her bad books.

Yunhee was pissed.

With tensions as taut as a drawn bow, Jimin, Jin and Tae updated the team on the shit show at Dream Bean while she lingered on the side lines with sealed lips and folded arms.

Apart from a short nod of agreement when asked by the party if she was willing to keep up the charade and go on a second date, Yunhee remained quiet.

Swayed by her passive-aggressive silence, it was Jimin's intention to get the woman alone and placate her with apologetic kisses for being a twat, but the second he dismissed the meeting, she disappeared with her chin in the air, and he hadn't seen the blasted woman since.

Hours later, the questions he wished to ask hurtled around his overwrought brain.

What the fuck were you thinking? Are you alright? Do you have any idea what I'd do if anything happened to you? Did you have to hold his hand?

Please let me kiss you before I break something!

The problem with Hahm Yunhee was that she was just as tenacious if not more so than himself. She'd dodged him like the plague for the rest of the day, using her friends as an excuse to shun him because - let's be honest - if she confronted him, she would go off like a bomb.

In no mood for a slanging match or a black eye, Jimin echoed her actions and locked himself in his study, but being alone allowed him time to stew on today's events and his temper brewed to dangerous levels as he tried to come up with an alternative way to sniff out Taehyung.

Anything that didn't involve Yunhee "dating" that pompous tosser.

Worrying if she was going to be kidnapped was stressful enough, but seeing her hold hands with Tae inside the coffee shop while they conversed like lovesick teenagers took the fucking biscuit.
