TW - MENTIONS OF SICK

— IT HAS BEEN A COUPLE of months since their walk in the park. It was now June 16th which made Rosanna extremely happy as the kids would be coming home soon. Tonight, as a surprise, Rosanna had decided today set up a little dinner for her and Sirius whilst he was in the shower. She also had a present for him that she couldn't wait to give him but she wasn't going to give it to him today just in case. She didn't want to ruin the night if he didn't like the surprise.

She had decided on making a nice pasta for them. She had set up the kitchen table with candles and a bouquet of flowers in the middle. She was wearing a long black dress that fell down to just in the middle of her calf with a ribbon at the back. She sort of regretted wearing it whilst she was cooking as it ended up getting splashed with sauce. Her outfit and ended up in a bit of a mess but she just took a deep breath and carried on.

She plated up the food and set it down on the table and just in time too. She could hear Sirius making his way down the stairs. He walked in to the kitchen just as she began pouring the wine I to the glasses. "What's this?" He asked with a surprised smirk. "Well we've not been on a date in over 10 years so I thought I'd make one at home for us" Rosanna said with a smile.

Sirius smiled at her and brought her into a slow kiss. "I kind of messed up my dress, I look like a mess" Rosanna said with a small laugh. "You look perfect love" He whispered to her kissing her forehead. "Thank you"

"We best dig in, it'll be getting cold" Rosanna said as they both sat down at the table, across from each other.

As they talked Sirius couldn't help but admire Rosanna. She still looked as gorgeous as she had the day he met her. She looked perfect. The date she had set up sort of reminded him of the when he took her to The Three Broomsticks. He remembered that Madame Rosmerta had caught wind of what he was doing and immediately made it a little nicer for them.

They were just kids when they fell in love and now here they were and he was still as happy as ever.

Rosanna felt exactly the same way. Every time she looked at him it still managed to bring a smile to her face. He was the only one who could make her cry with laughter. She loved him with all her heart and more. He could stop her heart from miles away. He made it pump and sing and skip beats even after all these years.

"This is lovely" Sirius complimented as he ate the pasta. "I followed one of the recipe books Molly left behind" Rosanna told him. "Well it's a million times better than her food" Sirius said. "Her food wasn't that bad Sirius" Rosanna rolled her eyes. "Rosanna, her chicken was like cardboard" he said and she couldn't help but laugh at that. Some of Molly's cooking was particularly bad.

"Do you remember when I finally asked you to be my girlfriend?" Sirius asked, catching Rosanna off guard by the random question. "Yeah and I still don't know why you did after the night previous" Rosanna laughed as she placed a hand over her face.

*Flashback*

The night before Sirius asked Rosanna to be his girlfriend was interesting and disgusting today at the least. To this day Rosanna didn't understand how he had fallen in love with her enough after that to ask her out.

They had just had a party and the marauders and the girls all sat around the coffee table in front of the fire chatting. It seemed as though the drinks were beginning to catch up with Rosanna however. She felt her stomach start to churn and a horrible feeling rose in her throat. "Excuse me" Rosanna muttered quickly before covering her mouth and running off to her dorm as quick as she could.

"Is she okay?" Lily wondered aloud. "I'll go check on her" Sirius said, he was the least drunk out of the lot. Trust me had lots to drink, it just takes a lot to get him drunk. He walked through the maroon-coloured hallways before finally reaching Rosanna's dorm room. He knocked on the door but there was no answer so he walked in just in case she needed help.

"Rose, are you in here?" He called as he looked around the room. "In here" A weak voice called from the bathroom. He quickly walked through the room and into the bathroom. He found Rosanna with her head almost over the toilet and looking sickly pale. Sirius have a sympathetic smile as he walked over to her and crouched down beside her as the next load came out.

"You're okay Rose" he said gently as he brought her hair back into his hands to keep it out of her face. He comfortingly rubbed her back as she finished getting it all out. He stood up and grabbed a cloth, wetting it slightly. He sat back down next to her their backs leaning against the bath. He gently turned her face towards him and gently wiped her mouth.

He then opened up one the cabinets in the room and brought out some make up remover and cotton pads. He poured a little onto the cotton pad and wiped away her eye shadow and mascara before using make up wipes to get rid of the rest. "Thank you Sirius" Rosanna said as she looked up at him with a smile. That smile made him feel stone cold sober.

"Any time love" he said as he pushed some stray hairs away from her face. "Come on let's get you into bed" he said as helped her to her feet and over to her bed. He pulled back the sheets and gently placed her inside. She still had her costume on but there wasn't much he could do about that. He made sure she was comfortable before pulling the covers back over her.

"Good night Rose" Sirius whispered before making his way towards the door before he heard her voice call for him. "Sirius please stay with me, I don't feel well" Rosanna said with a sad voice. He knew there was no way he could leave after that. He walked back over to her bed and laid down on beside her on her bed. He stayed on top of the covers as she shuffled over and cuddled into his side. She draped her arm over his stomach with a small smile. He placed one of his arms around her shoulders making he sigh contently.

It didn't take long before she was fast asleep on his chest. He looked down at her sleeping peacefully with a small absentminded smile. Rosanna was a special girl to him; she always had been. From the first day they met she had treated him with nothing but kindness which was new experience for him when he was younger.

He was a broken little child back then, but as if it was her mission, she did everything to make him feel loved and included and she definitely succeeded. Sirius leaned his head against the head bored and closed his eyes. Listening to Rosanna calm breathing sent him to sleep quickly

That was the night he knew for sure. He had fallen for Rosanna Robinson.

*End of Flashback*

"I can't believe I got like that" Rosanna sighed, her cheeks bright red. "It still didn't put me off you" Sirius replied. "I don't know how it didn't" she said as she shook her head, looking up at him lovingly. "Because you'll be my girl no matter what, even if you don't look very flattering when being sick. "Who does" Rosanna asked as she raised her eyebrows and titled her head amusedly.

"I do" Sirius said plainly making Rosanna stare at him for a minute or two. "No you don't" Rosanna replied with a tight-lipped smile before taking a sip of her wine. "I'll have you know I look fabulous no matter what happens to me" Sirius fought back.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night my love"
