CHAPTER THREE

"He says, you are Chihuahua!" Erica exclaimed between fits of laughter.

"Gago niya! You're my dog now!" Lyzza chimed in, adding to the jest. "Where are you peeing, huh!"

"Bitch! My stomach hurts!" Erica interjected, clutching her stomach as laughter bubbled up uncontrollably.

Their laughter echoed around us, their faces flushed with amusement. Meanwhile, I couldn't shake off my annoyance.

Why was he here?

What was his purpose in intruding into our lives?

It felt like he was playing some sort of game, and it was starting to wear thin on my patience. As the two of them continued to laugh, I couldn't help but feel increasingly irritated by the whole situation.

Happy?

Sana mahanginan kayo mga hinayupak kayo!

"Come on, let's go back to the classroom," I urged, my annoyance still lingering beneath the surface.

Despite my attempt to steer the conversation towards a more serious topic, Erica and Lyzza continued to cough with laughter, thoroughly entertained by the situation.

"Just you wait, Chihuahua," I muttered under my breath, raising both hands in mock threat “Wow, ah, maka-Chihuahua sila kala mo hindi naging aso noon, baka nga asong kalye pa sila noon, eh,"

See! Ganyan ako ka-assumera!

When he noticed me looking back at him, he looked away and suddenly his ears turned red. A few minutes ago, I just saw him approaching me.

"Hello, I'm Lorenz Gonzales," he introduced himself, a hint of shyness evident in his demeanor.

Suddenly, he extended his hand for a handshake, a gesture that seemed to require a bit of courage.

"Hello! Shainny De Leon," I responded, reciprocating the handshake.

As our hands met, unexpectedly, Lyzza, who had been peacefully dozing off, raised her head and looked around. It was one of those comical
moments that caught you off guard.
When Lyzza looked at me, her face twisted in confusion, unable to grasp the situation. Panicked, I let go of Lorenz's hand, my heart pounding with uncertainty. Recognizing the urgency, Lyzza quickly woke up Erica, shaking her with urgency.
