"WE'LL BE IN MY OLD ROOM," said Nicolas, standing out in the garden of Maple manor with Claudia and Regulus. This was before they would all head inside so that Claudia could attend that suspicious lunch with her family, and so that Nicolas and Regulus could hide in case they would need to protect her.

The blonde boy had immediately agreed to come along with them there, because even if Charles had always let him be, Nicolas knew his tricks when he saw it.

And there was no chance in hell Claudia was just going to have a normal lunch with him and her grandmother.

"It's the closest to the dining room," Nicolas continued. "If you need anything and we can't hear you, press this."

He handed her a small little triangle, that showed no signs of being helpful whatsoever, which only made her frown.

"What's this?"

"It's enchanted," he explained, picking a similar one out of his pocket. "If you need us, you press it on the top and ours will glow. It's confusing. Rosamund made it, so don't take me for a genius now."

Claudia chuckled, "Thank you."

"Of course," he nodded, heading towards the back door, not caring that Regulus wasn't right after him.

Instead, the boy with dark locks turned to his wife, smiled a little and placed one hand on her cheek, kissing the other one quickly.

"Be careful," he said. "You have a tendency of annoying him more than you need to, Dia. Don't do that today."

"Yeah," she nodded. "Even if he deserves to be forced to deal with my annoying ways."

"Yes, even so," Regulus said. "I'm right there, okay? You don't have to worry. Maybe nothing will happen."

"Yeah...maybe," Claudia said, smiling faintly at him as he began to walk backwards towards the back door, where Nicolas had stopped with his back turned to them.

"I love you, Dia. Don't be stupid."

She chuckled, watching the two disappear off, and then quickly opting for apparating to the other side of the house so that she could walk through the main entrance and hopefully distract every person who was home from noticing Nicolas and Regulus.

"Don't be stupid, Claudia," she mumbled to herself as she trudged up the stairs and knocked on the door. "Don't be fucking stupid."
