Waves pov
I was walking down the streets as a cloud began to form over my head. Grr I can't believe that outsider is back! And he brought a friend this time. Just perfect! I can't let Storms profecy come true. No matter what I have to keep that freak away from jet-
My thoughts were cut off when I noticed the raindrops stopped falling on my head. I looked up to see that fox boy holding an umbrella.
"I figured that you'd get tired of raindrops falling on your head so I got you an umbrella" he beamed.
"yeah it does get tiring" I sighed "thank you little boy" maybe now I can think..
"you know as a scientist I've been curious about how your gift works" the boy spoke up "unlike jets your gift seems to be somewhat grounded in real world science. I mean people have made tiny clouds before"
Normally I'd be annoyed by the interruption but his topic of conversation peaked my interest "yeah I've also been looking into how moisture in the air forming clouds is tied into my emotions but so far I've come up with nothing"
The more I talked to this kid about my passion the more my clouds began to fade. He put the umbrella away with a smile.
"your also a scientist!" his eyes lit up excitedly "oh my gosh that's amazing. Maybe you'll understand my scientific picks up lines then"
"pick up lines?" I raised an eyebrow.
"oh crap I didn't mean to say that out loud!" he yelped as his face turned red. He looked really upset. I kinda felt bad.
I bent down to his level "look you seem like a real nice kid but I'm way too old for you"
"it's only a four year age difference" he argued.
"that's still too old!" I argued back.
"please wave" he begged "we have so much in common. At least give me a chance!"
I sighed "I don't want to take advantage of you. So how about we just stay friends for now"
"ok I'd like that!" he nodded before happily running off.
I watched him go with a smile he's got a crush on me. I mean who can blame him! But still he's just a kid. It's not like anything would evolve from this.
