[Name] couldn't help but watch the scenery outside the window, watching everything zoom at three hundred kilometers per hour from the comfort of his own seat. Of course, he slept for half the trip since he had to wake up at the crack of dawn but he managed. He couldn't help but let out a soft content sigh while slightly buzzing with excitement from his own seat.

It's been a while since he's gone back to Miyagi. Not since the start of his first year in Ichibayashi to be specific. He and Nishinoya always managed to keep in touch but everything was a bit hectic during Interhigh so he hasn't really talked to him in a while aside from the occasional volleyball memes.

He remembered the other boy on the phone ranting about some interesting first-years that showed up on the volleyball team but other than that he didn't really know much about Nishinoya's team.

Karasuno High. [Name] leaned his elbow against the edge of the window and place his chin on his hand. Shiratorizawa was the team that acted as Miyagi's representative at Interhigh so he was very curious about what was going on up in the north with Shiratorizawa ruling over Miyagi.

Can't believe I'm still thinking about volleyball during summer. [Name] couldn't help but snort at the thought before leaning back against his seat, crossing his arms. He never thought that volleyball would make such a huge impact in his life despite him playing since he was four. He was about to reminisce about everything that's happened when his line of thoughts was interrupted by a buzzing in his pockets.

[Name] shuffled in his seat while fishing out his phone from his pocket before smiling at the contact name that appeared and accepted the call.

"Hello?"

"[Name]!" A loud and chirpy voice said from the other side of the call making [Name] chuckle.

"Hey, Kou. What's up?"

"I miss you!" Bokuto shouted from the other side of the phone making [Name] slightly pull his phone away from his ear. "I was wondering if you wanted to visit Tokyo! You know, summer break and all."

"I wish I could Kou," [Name] said with a small smile while glancing out the window. "But I'm spending my summer break in Miyagi with a friend."

"Miyagi?! That's way closer than Fukuoka! How 'bout–"

"I'm gonna stop you there," [Name] cut him off. "I'm staying at a friend's place so I don't think you could visit much Kou. Simple etiquette." [Name] immediately felt Bokuto's mood shift as the other boy went silent. He could almost imagine Bokuto's hair drooping down the moment he said no. "But I think I can make a stop at Tokyo before I head back to Fukuoka."

"Really?"

"Yeah," [Name] reassured him. "I think my friend won't mind if I leave a few days earlier. You can even invite Akaashi-kun so we can play volleyball together."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

"Ok!" Bokuto happily chirped. "Anyway, we had volley practice today and Akaashi was tossing the ball, since he's the setter of course, and we were planning this..."

[Name] listened to Bokuto's rambles about how his day went while occasionally glancing at the window and saying something to let him know that he was still on the other line. It was something Bokuto started doing ever since he got his number. He didn't really mind since he liked listening to the ace's rambles about his team and what he did during the day. Though [Name] would argue that Bokuto sometimes gave too much information. He wondered if Akaashi was the one dealing with this most of the time.
