I see someone at a desk outside the office.

"Hello, I'm-" I start when I near the desk.

"Valentina Callaghan, yes Mr. Black is waiting for you. Follow me." Who I assume is his assistant says, he stands up heading towards the glass door of the office that is to the side of his desk.

I don't appreciate people cutting me off but I guess I'm going to let this slide. I look at him closely and when I look at him he reminds me of Alice, both of them wearing black glasses being so formal and clearly he is very straightforward just like her. I start smirking when I get the idea that I should hook them up. He doesn't look that old, maybe around 30 and Alice is 28 so that would be perfect.

I listen to someone clear their throat and I look up to the person who did, the assistant. I lose the thought, making a mental note to ask for his name on my way out.

I walk inside the office, say thank you to the assistant who is opening the door for me and start approaching the desk where Mr. Black sits. He stands up from his chair, and extends his hand towards me.

"Mr. Black, pleasure to meet you. Thank you for receiving me on such short notice." I say shaking his hand with a smile.

"Nonsense, anything for an old friend like Evelyn. Now, why don't you take a seat, and tell me why you need a lawyer," he says pointing to the chair in front of his desk. I sit, and drop my bag on the chair next to me.

It's incredible that my mother asks this man to help me and doesn't even tell him why.

"Evelyn tells me you own and run a company for which you need legal help with?" Mr. Black sits back down and leans back on his chair.

"Yes, I got a bogus intelligence theft lawsuit that I need to handle."

"You own a company at such a young age that's quite impressive, which company do you own?" He asks, intertwining his fingers with each other.

Suddenly there is a knock at the office door to which I don't turn around for but Mr. Black responds, "Come in, son," Did he just say son?Why would his son come here right now? Did I interrupt their plans or something?

"Darling, you've got the wrong office. We are waiting for a client." A chill runs down my spine and I straighten. I recognize that voice. I turn around in my chair and see the green eyed man from the elevator approach us with a smirk on his face. I look back towards Mr. Black who is about to say something, when I raise my hand stopping him in the process, which by his expression he doesn't appreciate, but I really don't care. When someone undermines me and my capabilities I love to see their reaction when I correct them.

I stand in front of the man from the elevator, who has a smirk on his lips. You can really see how Mr.Black and him are father and son. They have the same eyebrows and face structure. Their only difference is that his son's nose is straighter, sharper, he has dark hair while Mr. Black's is slightly gray now and of course the eyes, Mr. Black just has plain brown eyes which are nothing compared to the emerald green ones I'm staring at right now. They're both handsome, and I have a feeling they both know it.

"I believe I'm in the right place. Valentina Callaghan, CEO of Luxe Unlimited." I say extending my hand to him. He takes my hand and I see his smirk falter to a straight face, he wasn't expecting that. It pisses me off that nobody ever expects that.

He doesn't say anything else, so I sit back on my chair and cross my legs.

"Excuse my son," Mr.Black says, staring at his son intensely, while he moves to stand beside the desk instead of just standing behind me. "You changed your last name, or did you get married?" Mr. Black questions.
