When Y/N was a kid, she used to go up to her balcony all the time. She'd watch couples holding hands, people walking their dogs, and families bringing their kids for walks. It kept her entertained and often times Y/N felt like it made her own hardships become visible in a new light.

Y/N's father leaving was one of the worst times in not only her life, but her mothers too. And so she would come up to the balcony and picture her parents strolling down the street with Y/N planted between them, holding their hands.

She imagined this scenario for a while. But eventually it just slowly became boring, because Y/N knew that it would never happen again.

The sun beamed down on Y/N's face as she sat in her little lawn chair on her balcony. She needed to think. And her mother was out shopping so it was the perfect time.

She didn't glance around at the view too much, she was content with watching the clouds move in the sky.

She crossed her legs and breathed in the fresh air. Her mind was about to circle back to the events of today with Adrien, but she refused to think about it.

She squeezed her eyes tightly and shook her head. She didn't want to think about that. Her face felt hot just at the idea of rehashing how close she was to Adrien.

Y/N wondered why she kept ending up in situations like that with him. First it was the project they had to work on together, and then it was his party.

"Why do things have to be so confusing." Y/N mumbled to herself.

"Why do what things have to be confusing?"

Y/N let out a yelp and jumped up off her chair, pressing her back against the railing of her balcony. Her eyes were wide and she looked as if she had seen a ghost. "What the fuck!-"

Chat noir was leaning against the opposite side of the balcony. His elbows were resting on the railing and he had a smirk on his face. "Hey." He greeted nonchalantly.

"You weren't kidding when you told me you made it a hobby to invite yourself onto peoples balcony's."

"See, you should always trust me."

Y/N's body relaxed and she raised an eyebrow, "I don't think I should trust someone who dresses like a cat."

"You're right, you shouldn't." Chat paused and used his elbows to push himself up. He leaned forward, close to Y/N's face with a smirk on his own, "But trust me."

Y/N felt her face heating up and she looked the other way. Chat took notice of her flustered state and couldn't help but think she was quite cute.

"So, where are we going?" Chat turned away from Y/N and looked off her balcony. He glanced from the ground and back to the confused girl behind him.

"Nowhere?" Y/N questioned, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Okay I'll choose." Chat pretended to be deep in thought for a few moments before grabbing Y/N's wrist gently. He tugged her towards the front of the balcony, "let's go get ice cream!"

Y/N wiggled her arm away from Chat's grasp, "Chat! I'm not going to get ice cream with you!"

Chat noir frowned, "why not? It's the perfect day for ice cream!"

Y/N tried to come up with a good excuse as to why she couldn't go. She didn't want to refuse his offer, she actually wanted to go with him.

But she was too confused. Her mind kept flipping from him to Adrien. She felt something for both of them but was too afraid to let her feelings develop any further.
