Natasha POV

It was just turning sunrise when I reached the jet. I held my heels in my hands, having given up on them a long time ago.

The door opened for me as I got closer, and Steve walked down the steps.

"You could have called."

"Okay, Dad."

"Nat, I'm serious. We didn't know if you were okay."

"I'm fine."

"You don't look fine."

"Well, I am."

I plonked myself down on one of the seats, and lifted my foot up to check for a cut. It was hurting a little.

"Did you walk here?"

"I needed to think."

"Nat, what aren't you telling me?"

"Did you know?"

"Know what?"

"Did you know it was Hill?"

"The contact was Maria Hill?"

I sighed. He didn't know, it really was a coincidence.

"Is that where you were?"

"No. Jesus, Steve."

"Hey, relax. You can't blame me. You didn't come back all night."

"I told you, I needed to think."

"About what?"

"Can we please not do this?"

I pulled the USB drive out of my purse and handed it to him.

"Everything you need is on there," I explained, "I'm going for a nap."

I got to the room, and let out a sigh before getting undressed and throwing on some training shorts and a vest. I felt like shit, and I just wanted to sleep.

However, I wasn't going to be that lucky. My phone began to ring. I cancelled the call without looking at it. I guessed it was Maria and I didn't want to deal with that right now.

I closed my eyes, and tried to empty my brain.

It rang again. I cancelled it again.

Before I could even lay back down, it rang again. This time I picked it up and looked at the caller.

Yelena?

"Yelena?"

"Do you not know how to answer your phone?"

"I-"

"Natasha you are so..."

"Yelena, why are you calling?"

"Oh, lovely. Thank you. Is it so terrible to hear from your own sister?"

I sighed. I really didn't need this right now.

"Yelena."

"Fine. You're so rude," she muttered, "I just thought you would want to know that I went to see Wanda and she was gone."

"Gone?"

My heart fell. She was gone?

"Well she wasn't there."

"You're sure she wasn't just at the store?"

"Well I went in-"

Of course she did.

"-and none of her stuff was there."

"Do you know where she went?"

"Nope. I don't know, but I thought you would want to know. In case you wanted to go back."
