PoV Kai
"Kai? Are you okay?", Cole asked as he placed a hand firmly on my shoulder.

I looked up at him and tried to hold back my tears.

"I'm fine. Soul got a dent, but I'll fix it!", I chuckled, still holding back my cries. I bit my lip and looked away from my boyfriend.

Suddenly he just pulled me up carefully and pulled me against his chest. He wrapped his strong arms around me and then kissed my forehead.

I cuddled into him.

"What's bothering you?", my darling asked softly. My lip started quivering.

"It's just...a lot. Lot's of thoughts and duties. I just don't know if I can do it much longer.", I sniffed.

Cole ran his fingers through my hair softly.

"What would you do instead. Hopefully not-", he started, but I cut him short:"no, I'm over that. I won't unalive myself. I just want a normal life. A family with kids and", I stopped and gazed into his eyes that were so full of worry,"you."

Cole stroked my cheek carefully, then leaned his forehead against mine.

"We would live in a little house, not in the middle of Ninjago City.", he said dreamily.

I closed my eyes and imagined it.

"In one of the villages, far away from all the city troubles. With a dog.", I said excited.

"A dog? Yeah, a small one. Real fluffy, with sparkling eyes like yours.", Cole agreed.

"How many kids do you want?", I smiled, opening my eyes and looking at the gorgeous man in front of me.

How beautiful. Utterly beautiful.

"I was thinking two or three. We would adopt them.", Cole explained.

Then he kissed me softly.

I pulled him closer, the tears forgotten long ago.

"When will we live like that?", I asked when we pulled away.

Cole suddenly let me go and I fell back onto my bed.

"Kai, we can't. We have to bring peace!", Cole said seriously.

I looked away sadly. Then I lay down on my side and stared at the wall.

"Please don't be mad, darling. We don't have a choice, we're Ninjas. Ninjago is counting on us.", he sighed.

"Leave.", I growled.

"Alright. Love you."

"I don't believe you.", I barked back.

PoV Cole
I knew Kai was mad-sad. Smad.

He had been for days. I just couldn't stand seeing him like this.

I had asked Nya for help and had all the information.

"Where are we going?", Kai asked, trying hard to look angry, but I looked right through him.

We were on our way, but he didn't know where.

I stopped in front of a building. "That's an animal shelter.", Kai stated.

I chuckled: "Their having Chiba Inu puppies and I talked to Wu. He said we could adopt one. It might not be time for children yet, but you shall have your dog."
