Shadowhunters Do Grease Part 6 (2 more parts to go)
Another week had gone by and everyone had found out about what had happened to Clary with Sebastian, Rehearsals had been postponed for a week as Clary and Jace take a break from school and stay at home during that time to recover. Sebastian had been arrested so Valentine is satisfied and happy with Clary resuming the rest of her studies and senior year at Idris High, Clary's friends all made a promise that they would keep an eye on her with Jonathan agreeing to start driving his sister to school everyday being even more protective over Clary than before but for once Clary didn't mind, she felt like the luckiest person in the world having the most supportive and loving family and friends always around her so she knew that she would be safe and as for her and Jace, they have gotten together and are a very happy couple who are even more in the honey moon phase then Alec and Magnus, everything was looking as if it was going to be okay.
"Simon?" Izzy asked, she walked into the auditorium after receiving a text from Simon to meet him there, he was stood up on stage with his band setting up their instruments. Simon smiled once he had seen Izzy, "Isabelle! you made it." he grinned, Izzy looked around, there was no one else here. "What we doing here Simon?" she asked, "Rehearsal doesn't start again until Clary and Jace get back."
"Funny you should say that," Simon said getting off the stage and making his way over to her, "What we are going to rehearse doesn't require Jace or Clary." Izzy raised an eyebrow looking at Simon slightly confused "It doesn't?" she asked "But they are our leads."
"Yes they, but not for this song they aren't," Simon says as he gives Izzy a music sheet, Izzy looked at it, it was a song called 'All I need is an Angel' and it said that it was in the show but Izzy couldn't remember it. "What's this?" Izzy asked looking back up at Simon, "I don't remember this song being in show."
"That's because it is an original song," Simon tells her "That I have written."Izzy looked back up at Simon with amazement "You wrote this?" she asked, Izzy knew that Simon had a talent with music but had no idea that Simon could write songs and material as well. Simon rubbed his hand at the back of his neck letting out a laugh, "Well...yeah, Luke thought it would be cool if...we give Frenchie a song before Teen Angel appears." Izzy blinked, "Wait what?"
Simon couldn't help but let out a laugh "The song is for you Iz,"
"But why!?" Izzy asked looking horrified, even more than before she had to audition for the musical. This was not the reaction that Simon was expecting Izzy to have, "Izzy this is a good thing," Simon tells her, "Luke thought you did amazing at your audition and wanted to give you a little of the spotlight." Izzy shook her head a little, "My God Simon I don't want any of the spotlight! I like how my role is in the show! I am comfortable with it!"
Simon frowned "I don't understand-"
"For the love of God Simon, You Know How I Feel About Singing In Front Of People, I Sounded what is supposedly Good At The Auditions Because I Was Singing With You! And You Do This On Me, I thought You Were Different!"
"Izzy you don't understand," Simon took hold of both of Izzy's hands with his eyes not leaving hers, "You never sounded bad at singing...I don't know who told you otherwise..."Izzy looked down to the floor, she sighed a little, "You know Simon...I had never told anyone this. Not even my brothers but I used to sing and dance around the house all the time, I wanted to be a performer and was a huge fan of Brittany Spears and one day it was just me and my Dad in the house and I sang to him 'Oops I did it again,' and you know what he did? He laughed at me and said and I quote 'Maybe stick to the dancing and looks sweetheart,' meaning that I sounded like garbage and you had no idea how much that it crushed me to hear him say that as I really do admire my Dad, and since then I never sang in front of anyone again because I knew...I knew that I sounded like shit...all I had were my looks, I am nothing but a pretty face."
"Oh Isabelle I'm so sorry-" Simon had no idea that this was the reason why Isabelle had never wanted to sing in front of an audience, he just instinctively thought that she had bad stage fright not because he Dad had said something, he couldn't imagine how that would of made Izzy feel to bring her confidence down like that, to take away what was her passion. "My Dad even found it amusing that I even auditioned for the musical and couldn't believe that I had even got a part in it."
