Hey Angels,
I know that it has been a while since I last posted but here I am back again and with a Christmasy one shot for you guys and centering around the relationship between Clary and Max Lightwood the youngest Lightwood sibling, Just as disclaimer before you start reading and get confused this is a mundane highschool AU and I do hope that you enjoy it. 😊❤❤❤

Clary Fairchild Morgenstern walked up to the Lightwood's front porch in the blanket of thick white snow that laid underneath her boots, she was wrapped up in a Black Coat that had a fluffy hood, a grey scarf that once belonged to her Grandmother Saraphina and a Black bobble hat that nested perfectly on her head. The snow was still falling and complemented Clary's red hair well, with her gloved hand she rang the door bell.

Clary let's out a breath causing a cloud to escape from her mouth as she could hear movement from behind the other side of the door, it opened revealing no one other than Nine Year Old Max Lightwood, the youngest of the Lightwood siblings and one that Clary always had a special bond with since the night that her Boyfriend Jace brought her home for dinner to meet his family.

Max's blue eyes sparkled like christmas lights behind his glasses as he looked up at Clary, with the biggest smile forming on his face that never failed to melt Clary's heart, Max Lightwood had to be the cutest kid that she had ever met.

"CLARY!"
"MAX!"
Before Clary could even blink Max had already raced forward and met with Clary in the tightest hug around her legs causing his glasses to crook slightly out of place. Clary couldn't help but smile and without even hesitating Clary hugged Max back just as tightly if not even more, Max she felt is a kid that had to be protected at all costs who was too innecont for this world.

Clary knealt down to Max's height and carefully puts his glasses back in place, she gave him a warm smile as she spoke "Hey Max."
"What are you doing here?" Max asked pratically bouncing on his toes as he spoke "Are you here to see Jace?"
"I am," said Clary "Is he in?"
Max nodded eagerly "Uh huh! Come on," he took Clary's hand and lead her inside the house, "I think he's in the shower because he's singing."

Clary couldn't help but giggle at Max's comment, this she knew. Jace did love to sing and belt out whenever he was in the shower or his Car, the couple always have their own private concerts whenever Jace would drive them home from school or on one of their Friday and Weekend Date nights and there was a few times when Clary's parents and brother werent home that Jace would use their shower and stay over if he was feeling risky.

Max in fact was correct, as soon as Clary closed the front door behind her she could hear Jace singing, not very well might she add but in tune, along to 'Hymn for The Weekend ' which Clary knew was by Jace's favourite Band 'Coldplay' she was planning on surprising him with concert tickets for christmas.

"Oh, angel sent from up above
You know you make my world light up
When I was down, when I was hurt
You came to lift me up
Life is a drink and love's a drug
Oh, now I think I must be miles up
When I was a river, dried up
You came to rain a flood

You said, "Drink from me, drink from me"
When I was so thirsty
Pour on a symphony
Now I just can't get enough
Put your wings on me, wings on me
When I was so heavy
Pour on a symphony
When I'm low, low, low, low

Ah, oh ah, oh ah
Got me feeling drunk and high
So high (so high), so high (so high)
Oh ah, oh ah, oh ah
Now I'm feeling drunk and high
So high (so high), so high (so high)
(Woo)
(Ooh)!"

Max and Clary share a look and the two burst into a fit of giggles, "He's not the best singer is he?" Clary asked.
Max shook his head still hiccuping with giggles "No he really isn't." But that was what Clary loved about Jace, that he was imperfect and that was the reason why Clary could listen to Jace sing all day.
