Chapter 7: Blood in the Darkness

⚠️NEEDLES, BLOOD, TORTURE⚠️

Mj's speechless.

Her dad had found what had been meant to be sent to her.

From the villains that had kidnapped Peter because right there...

Was a photo of Peter in his Spider-Man suit, cut up, dried blood, terror on his face, a shock collar on his neck and strapped down on a table. There's a dark figure that she can't really make out on the very edge of the photo with a sharp and dirty needle ready to poke at him. On that figure though...Mj sees what looks like claws coming from somewhere behind the figure.

Mj hesitates before she grabs the photo and flips it around to see black handwriting on the back. This time though, it's a third villains creepy handwriting because it's nothing like the first and seconds with the little few notes she saw.

The greatest trick the devil pulled was convincing the world there was only one of them.

What could that mean though? They knew that they were more than one villain but not three of them. Mj swallows back her tears but the fear is creeping all over her.

Mj puts the photo back down and stands up from her chair. She's about to pull out her phone when she feels her dad put his hand on her. 

"Where is Peter exactly?" Delmar asks.

Mj's frozen. Her tears are threatening to fall and she's trying so hard to not let them fall. She feels like her entire body is like a dam. She holds it in there though and slowly breathes out the breath she didn't even know she was holding.

"He...I'm sorry" Mj apologizes, looking down at the table.

Delmar gives a small nod before pulling his daughter into a hug and she hugs him back. Even though she shows a cold shoulder to everyone, she will always hug her loved ones especially because her mom had passed when she was younger so she only has her dad left.

"You should've told me" Delmar states.

"You know I couldn't" Mj reminds him.

"Is he really Spider-Man? Is that what he really is wearing?" Delmar questions.

"Would you believe me if I told you otherwise?" Mj retorts.

"No I wouldn't" Delmar silently sighs. "Do you know anything? Where he is? Does May know?"

"May knows and ummm we think or know...it's more than one villain. The avengers have been snooping and we think it may be Norman Osborn or he just has something to do with this because Peters father had created the spider that bit him and kept how to make the radioactive spider a secret to Norman. I shouldn't even be telling you this so you can't tell anybody dad. Mays been helping too, so has Ned" Mj rambles.

"You can trust your father Mj, I won't tell a soul. God he's such a smart and nice boy" Delmar whispers the last part to himself. "Any leads to where exactly he may be?"

Mj shakes her head with a silent no that follows. Delmar nods his head in acknowledgment. He always knew the boy was something but had never thought him being Spider-Man. He should've recognized his voice when Peter had checked if he was ok after an alien weapon sliced his shop from the bank robbery. He should've reminded himself that everyone has secrets, even intelligent, friendly boys.

Peter winces as another needle goes into him.

Drawing blood.

They're starting the tests to see if his blood can be capable to the Green Goblin so he gains some of Peter's power plus the power he already has. The first step to these tests are sucking the blood within him into big needles.
