Chapter 42: Aftermath

Peter had recovered incredibly well and was only on bed rest for a week. He got visited by all the avengers and Clint and Scott even flew down to see him, knowing that their families will be safe because Beck and Norman are locked up and Otto is dead.

Peter obviously still gets nightmares and it had grown a little more since the battle. He'd sometimes dream about Otto dying or him or his classmates all dying and Norman winning. He gets woken up by either May or Tony who is always at his bedside.

Tony...Peter calls him dad and Tony calls him son. Everyone was happy to hear that the two finally admitted to seeing each other like that and even brought a cake for it.

Ned, Mj, Flash, Cindy, Abe, Sally, Charles and Betty had all visited him and his schoolmates and staff had to sign NDAs that Pepper said they were extremely happy to sign without argument. It was a good thing everybody was too panicked to not record and for the news to not be there.

When Peter had finally went back to school, sure he got some looks, sure people had said thanks and hope he's feeling better, sure he gave Mr. Harrington a heart attack and during an AcaDec practice they talked about Washington...and then Homecoming and sure, he got called out for not trying in gym but now he can since everyone knows his secret. It makes gym a lot more fun and a class everyone is looking forward too.

Peter still goes out everyday as Spider-Man, he still hangs out with his friends and he still goes on dates with Mj. There has been no more creepy notes and no more constantly feeling like somebody is watching him. Peter finally feels like things are going good.
