After Jake and I exited the restaurant he drove around until we found an ice-cream place which was amazing because I love ice-cream, a lot, it’s like my second favorite food right after cake.

When we finished  our amazingly deliciouos ice-cream we found a park nearby and went for a walk.

“So it’s not going good between you and your partner” Jake said breaking the silence

“Well is not that bad. I mean Blake has his moments and we´re not doing that bad” I said realizing for the first time this partnership isn’t that bad.

“Wow Carrie Montgomery is actually defending Blake Anderson” Jake said.

His words made me come to a stop. I mean I was really defending him I never thought that would happen; normally I would use whatever situation I had to make him look like the jerk he is, but not this time. And worst of all was that I really mean what I had just said. Maybe the restaurant does make you sick, the food they give you messes up with your head. Yeap that’s it is all the restaurants fault .

“Do you?” Jake asks interrupting my thoughts, bringing me back from lala land and  I have no idea what he just asked.

Ummm what do I say, I can’t tell him I wasn’t paying attention, maybe if I just nod and smile it will be enough.

“Yes, totally” I say nodding, but I guess that wasn’t the answer he was looking for because he started frowning.

“Is there something wrong?” I asked concerned

“No nothing” Jake responded, but the grimace in his face was clear “so what do you like to do on your free time?” he continued, changing his facial expression to the care-free smile he usualy has.

“ I like to draw, is the best way to relax and I love the way you can make an image last forever; how a single paint can have hundredths of meanings, one for each person who sees it” I was completely unfocused on Jake now all I could think about were  drawings.

“Wow, I didn’t know that, I would love to see one of your paintings one day” Jake said with real interest, and I must admit it felt wonderful he liked my hobby; I think I must like him even more now.

We continued talking about us, what we like and hate our dreams and goals for nearly 4 hours, I couldn’t help but love the way we could talk like nothing else around us mattered and we were the only two persons in the world.

At 7 Jake told me he had his grandmother´s birthday to attend and couldn’t stay any longer with me even if he wanted to.

We got into his car so he could drive me home; I told him it wasn’t necessary but he insisted so I just agreed.

We got to my house and he walked me to the front door like a perfect gentleman

“So umm thank you for the ride and the ice-cream” I said suddenly feeling nervous.

“I should thank you Carrie, you were the one  who made this evening fantastic, and I´m really looking forward to spend more time with you” he said and I was melting on the insides; I mean Jake really liked our 'date'  and didn’t even mentioned once his situation with Liz which was the real reason of this 'date'.

“Thank you” really Carrie! That’s the best you could come up with. thanks!

Jake was smiling, looking directy int my eyes “well I have to go now, see you at school on Monday”
