The Unmatchable Match

Do I like him? Well yes, I always have, he has been my crush for like forever, but recently I’ve been thinking of the reasons why I like him and found none. Is not that he isn´t sweet or a gentleman is that I don´t really know him and how much can you really like someone whom you know nothing about. I think I might just place so many features of him in my mind, making him seem like the perfect guy that I fell for an illusion; because in all honesty I don´t know if Jake is all the things I make him out to be.

“I´m not so sure anymore” I replied honestly to Matt.

He smiled at me “I think you finally realized you fell in love with the person you crated him to be. I say you should get to know him, see if he is really how you think he is. Just follow your heart. Ugh Carrie you make me sound like Oprah” He tells me jokingly “I think you should go talk to Liz and get a girly opinion too”

I nod and hug him “Thanks’ Mattie you’re the best friend a girl could ask for” I whispered to him.

“I know ” He replies hugging me back.

Why wasn´t I able to realize this before? Am I really that complicated, or so much of a dreamer. My feelings for Jake were supposed to be real!  What is next? Blake is not the preppy obnoxious boy I make him up to be? Yeah I don´t think so.

I decided to ignore my or well matt´s revelation and just see how things go with Jake, I mean I do have a crush on him and just because I don´t know him as much as I thought doesn’t mean I will stop liking him. Feelings don´t work that way.

I paid for two burgers with French fries, and went back to the table were Blake was waiting for me. As I approached our table I saw there were more people seated there that usual. The table was full of people, who I think are Blake´s friends.

“Hey, you´re Catherine right? I´m Sam, Blake´s friend, hope you don´t mind we seat here” Said a guy with saggy brown hair and black eyes as I took a seat on my table. I think he plays football on the school team or something.

“It´s Carrie. But no I don´t mind, you can sit here” I said to him while placing Blake´s burger in front of him.

I started eating my Burger in silence, because being around the ‘populars’ was kind of weird, some of them knew Liz, since they try to ask her out which she kindly denied, but other than that they never bothered to acknowledge us, so there was not a  common topic.

“Sorry to burst your bubble sweetheart, but I can´t see where my food is, so you have to feed me” Blake whispered in my ear.

I rolled my eyes at him, even though I knew he couldn´t see me “If you think I will feed you, you might as well starve”

“Well you wouldn’t like a lecture from grumpy or a crying session from GG when I tell them how I couldn´t trust you because you were an awful guide, will you?” He said smiling.

Ugh I hate this guy so much! “Fine! Just don´t get used to it” I said snappily grabbing his burger and practically shoving it into his mouth, he started coughing but I didn´t care I knew he would be fine.

I turned around to see his followers looking at me like some crazy animal on display and the girls shooting daggers at me. What is it that knew to treat Blake like that? Ok maybe let him choke on his burger isn´t kind of me, but he made me do something against my will!
