´Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into friend- Martin Luther king, Jr' I left the paper on the table thinking about how ironic life can get.
“What is your phrase?" Liz asked enthusiastically as she picked up the small paper from my coffee table “Okay this was totally made for you" She said laughing as she gave the paper back to me.
I sighted placing the piece of paper on my back pocket “Remind me again why we are reading these?"
“Because Mr. Wells wants us to have a phrase to think over the weekend and come with an analysis next class" Liz said rolling her eyes " And by the way yours couldn't be more accurately"
“I don´t think he is expecting an essay about how I have an Infatuation with my project partner who was by causality my enemy” I told her rolling my eyes. I was really getting tired with this Blake topic.
“Please, what else does he want, this is like a real life romance!” She said jumping on the sofa “You were enemies, and then you thought of him as a friend and Bam! You’re in love”
“I never said the word love! It´s more like infatuation but definitely not love" I said, slightly regretting my decision to tell my best friend the problem I was having with these feelings towards Blake. I should never told her all the details I should’ve said something like ‘hey I don´t hate Blake anymore’ that would’ve been easier to handle.
“Please, if it helped you two being friends it´s definitely love" She said with a serious face. “You know like the Romeo and Juliet play? Sworn enemies life brought together?”
“You really have to stop watching Disney” I said laughing at my romantic best friend " Plus I looked at him as a friend long before the messed up feelings appeared"
And it was true, I started to see Blake as a friend first, when the real side of him appeared I knew why all those girls where sighting when he passed by, it was impossible not to get along with him. Looking back I kind of think that spending so much time with him it was impossible not to get attached and therefore develop a crush.
"Anyway it might not be love right now, but wait until that kiss and there will definitely be no turning back" She said probably feeling like a love guru, which she was definitely not.
“Please don´t remind me about that. I really don´t want to kiss him in front of the entire auditorium, I can´t think of a more embarrassing moment" I said felling frustrated once again by the kissing fact.
Liz stayed quiet for a while studding my face with an inquisitive expression not saying anything but just staring as if she could read my mind.
“What?" I asked after about five minutes of total silence and being watched like a celebrity by paparazzi.
