Eight hours later you were surrounded by friends and family, staring intently at the plasma screen TV as you waited for your interview to premier.

Anticipation was eating away at you, wanting to see how you looked on a screen.

"I hope you didn't have lipstick in your teeth..." Brienne teased as you all stared at the commercial on screen.

"As if I would let my client be so undignified!" Saffron gasped.

"Oooh! Client! My friend is officially about to be famous, huh? Weird to think about."

"I wouldn't say famous..." you disagreed.

"You're in a relationship with the most famous man in Japan. There's no way you won't be on everyone's radar." Camilla added.

"I don't wanna be on everyone's radar!"

"Well, too late to cancel the interview! Guess you'll just have to fake your death." Saffron shrugged.

"I'm honestly considering it." You groaned, covering your face with your hands.

"Don't worry," Toshinori hummed in your ear. He had you snuggled tightly against his side on the couch, rubbing your arms to reassure you. "You looked lovely today. The interview will be perfect."

"Do you remember your first TV interview?" Your mom asked from her arm chair.

"I do, actually. It was in America. After I stopped a robbery a small local camera crew asked me some quick questions. Things only escalated from there."

"It's like you were born to be a star!" Saffron spread her hands and fingers in the air like fireworks.

"How much wine have you had?" You asked Saffron, who seemed a bit sillier than normal.

"Half a bottle... maybe a little nip of tequila too but that doesn't count."

"You're cut off!" Camilla snapped, leaning forward to swipe the bottle from her hands. She pouted in disappointment, but a firm look from Camilla kept her from saying anything.

"Oh look! It's starting!" Your mom squealed, gripping Brienns arm as she sat on the arm of the chair.
You watched as the intro to the show played, a compilation of the host, Sonda Yori, and the variety of famous people she'd interviewed and her most famous moments. You recognized some of the brief and soundless clips from the doom-scrolling you'd done on different news websites to catch up on what you'd missed during your time in the ocean. There was a snippet of when she'd gotten the up-and-coming star "Present Mic" to announce the new radio show he was going to host. The crowd had lost their mind at the mention of it. You also recognized the expression on Endeavors face as it flashed across the screen from the interview where he'd made his declaration to become number one. You were so lost in identifying the clips in the brief intro that you'd almost forgotten what you were all sitting around watching TV for, but as Sonda appeared on the screen with her dazzling smile, you suddenly snapped back to the present.
Saffron and Brienne squealed next to you in excitement and clung to each other, waiting for the moment you'd appear on screen.
"Good afternoon, everyone. Sonoda Yori here with tonight's exclusive special guests, All Might and someone new to the show, Miyasaki Tsukiko. Lovely to have you both here tonight."
The shriek that escaped Briennes mouth was nothing short of deafening as you appeared on the screen, your smile much more sincere looking on television than it had felt when filming. Everyone beamed in excitement, some leaning over to pat you on the arm as you uncertainly watched yourself blink at Sonda on television.
"Lovely to be here as always," All Might grinned. A fake audience cheered for him loudly in the background of the clip. You turned to your boyfriend, jarred to be reliving . Even though you'd lived through that interview with him and knew exactly what he was going to say, his presence was so large and awe inspiring that you couldn't help the butterflies that fluttered behind your ribcage.
"Thank you for having us," Your voice sounded so odd coming from the television, so different than what you thought you usually sounded like. It felt like a stranger was on TV borrowing your body. The clothes, the makeup, the demeanor wasn't you at all. You didn't have time to voice this before Brienne was shouting again in glee, waving her arms and clapping frantically over the single sentence you spoke.
"Oh my god! You look so amazing! I can't believe you're a star!!" She shook your moms shoulder.
"No more wine for you either," your mom rolled her eyes playfully and snatched the bottle out of her hand.
"I'll take it," You leaned back to snag the wine from your mom's hand and took a deep pull. "I'm gonna need it."
It felt so strange to watch yourself on TV. Even though you knew every single rehearsed line by heart, and knew exactly how you would say it, you kept expecting the strange version of you to do something completely different. The anxiety that nibbled away at your insides slowly diminished with each sip of wine until you were placated enough to relax into Toshinori's embrace.
Your friends and family soaked in every single word you said, praising both you and Saffron for your stunning performance. Their comforting words was almost enough to distract you from how uncomfortable the whole thing was until you heard the words you'd entirely forgot about drip out from the TV.
"It sounds like you two always make time for each other, but isn't it hard sometimes? Do you ever feel selfish, taking up what little free time he has? He could be out working and instead he's with you. Do you ever worry you serve as a distraction?"
Your stomach dropped when you heard it on screen. Saffrons gasp was audible and even Toshinori seemed surprised that they hadn't edited this unflattering clip out.
The camera panned from Yonda to you, zooming in on the surprise in your face.
"That bitch!" Saffron screamed in indignation, already leaping up from the couch to grab one of her many business phones from her purse. "I swear to god that she'll never get a single fucking interview from anyone again after this stunt."
Your fingernails dug into the skin of your thighs as you glued your eyes to the screen, wondering just how much they'd kept in.
The pause between her question and the answer you gave was much longer than it had been in reel life. They extended the clip of your blank expression as you formulated a response so seamlessly that if you hadn't been there yourself you would've thought it was real instead of editing. You opened your mouth to respond, but instead of the response you remember saying came out a loud and indignant sounding sigh, one that you knew you hadn't made yourself. The camera flashed to Toshinori, who looked slightly surprised and uncomfortable. If you hadn't known better, you would've thought the reaction was to the sigh instead of the question you'd been asked.
You swallowed and leaned forward, ears roaring as you listened to your answer.
"I'm very lucky he spends all his free time with me." The camera pans to Toshinori as you answer, and you know they only did that to cover up the fact that your mouth wouldn't match the words they'd carefully taped together for this interview.
"You don't worry you're a distraction to his hero work?"
"I don't. I know he's always going to put me first." Your fake voice lied again. The fake audience gasped in shock and the camera panned once again to Toshinoris surprised face.
You stood up from your seat, mouth agape in utter shock and disgust. "I didn't say that!"
Your family next to you sat in stunned silence, waiting for whatever would come out of the TV next.
"I agree." Toshinori nodded. "We each know where our priorities are and we're okay with it."
The audience once again gasped in shock as he spoke.
At this, Toshinori stiffened. He rubbed his hand down his face and loudly sighed.
"The audacity of this woman..." He groaned, pressing his fingers to his temples and watching the screen again.
The interview seamlessly transitioned to the rest of the questions they'd asked you, though they made sure to emphasize how uncomfortable everyone was there. The interview itself was only a few minutes longer and everyone sat in stunned silence. Sonda transitioned from the awful questions she'd asked to ones about his hero suit comfortably as if nothing had ever happened. Your group sat in utter silence until you all said your goodbyes, the camera lingering just a few moments too long on the uncomfortable look on your face, one obviously stolen from the questions she'd asked earlier.
"Certainly an interesting interview to say the least," Sonda appeared by herself on the stage now, something that must've been filmed moments after you left to go home. "Everyone has long wondered when All Might would come out with his first relationship and who it would be with, but none of us could've anticipated this. Are the two really so desperately in love that they only have time for each other? Is All Mights career as a hero being put on the back burner? Or does someone have ulterior motives for winning the number one heroes heart? Only time will tell. Thank you once again for tuning in ladies and gentlemen, this has been Sonda Yorii. I'll see you again next week when we interview-"
Camilla turned the tv off before you could hear anymore of what that horrible woman had to say. You were still standing, mouth agape as you soaked in everything that just happened. The people around you were sitting in stunned silence, though you could hear Saffron screaming curse words at her phone that you didn't even know the meaning of.
It took a few more moments for it to truly sink into you the weight of what had happened. Your life as you knew it was over. You knew how absolutely venomous people on the internet could be, especially when it came to their favorite heroes, and you could only imagine the hell you'd have to go through if you ever showed your face in public. You were at least glad that they'd used a fake name. Maybe if you dyed or cut your hair, moved far enough away, and started over they would quickly forget about you. It seemed the easiest option considering the reaction the masses were sure to have.
As Saffrons volume began to escalate you slid back down onto the couch.
