Sydney finally gets home and finds Javonte sitting on the floor up against the wall in the kitchen with his eyes closed.

Sydney walks to him. She sees that's he's breathing.

Sydney gets on her knees and wait him up.

"Von", she said softly as she tapped him.

Next thing she knew Javonte's hand was around her neck.

Sydney grabbed his hand as he opened his eyes.

Javonte let's go of her.

"I'm sorry", said Javonte.

Sydney touched her neck.

"I- I was dreaming and you startled me", said Javonte. "I'm sorry."

Sydney touched his hand and held it.

"Von, you...are you okay?", asked Sydney.

"I don't want you to be out with him. I don't want you with him", said Javonte.

"Von...what do you want me to do? Be alone?", asked Sydney. "You don't want me"

"What I want— what I want is for me to hold you at night and tell how much I—"

Javonte stops talking for a moment.

"...but I can't do that because I'm not ready to be the man that you deserve", said Javonte.

"So what? You want me to wait for you?", asked Sydney. "I can't do that because maybe there will never be a day you're ready."

"I want you to wait for me, yes. I want you to wait for me.", said Javonte as his tone of voice filled with anger. "I want you to help me."

Sydney let go of his hand. She knew he was drunk and wasn't aware of his actions so she kept her guard up if he did anything.

Javonte began to calm down as he chuckled to himself.

"You think I'm crazy don't you?", asked Javonte.

"No", said Sydney. "I think that you're going through something right now and—"

"It's alright. Just say it. I saw the way you just prepared yourself. You changed your posture..you always do that with these criminals ...and I'm glad you did.", said Javonte.

"Von, you're just scaring me a little. I never heard you talk like that", said Sydney.

Javonte looks at her for moment. He looks her up and down then he tried to stand up and he ended up falling. He caught him by holding the chair.

"Sit back down" said Sydney.

"Nah, I'm about to go", said Javonte.

"You can't drive. You're drunk", said Sydney. "I'm not going to let you kill yourself"

"But I want to", said Javonte.

Sydney didn't say anything. She was shocked that he said that. This was apart of Javonte that she never saw before and it was concerning.

Javonte touched his head.

"Come in the bed.", said Sydney. "Let's go to sleep"

Sydney wanted to keep an eye on Javonte because he wasn't in his right mind at the moment. She didn't want him to leave her sight until he was sober again.

"Come on", said Sydney as she helped him up.

Javonte stood up and they began walking to Sydney's room.

"You were at his house?", asked Javonte.

"We're not talking about that right now", said Sydney.

"Answer it. Just answer it", said Javonte.
