(Angst + Fluff)

~

~Pastry POV

Pastry Cookie was at St. Pastry Order, reporting her tasks to the other sisters there. He day had been simple, yet rough. Red Velvet Cookie was no help at home. All he did was train his cake army and walk Chiffon all day. Pastry Cookie was tired. She stretched as the day at St. Pastry ended, and headed home.

The sun was setting, and Pastry stared in awe. She hadn't really left at sunset. She usually left the Order at night or even later. It was a blessed moment to her, so she gave a prayer and was on her way.

The tasks she did that day was mostly just catching cakes and exorcising, but that was about it. It wasn't as intense as the time she went to the Tower of Sweet Chaos. That's where she met Red Velvet Cookie.

They were together, but they didn't get along well. It just happened, and they both went along with it. Their relationship wasn't great. It felt like Pastry was doing all of the work for both Red Velvet and herself.

She thought about it. Once she got home, she would give him a piece of her mind.

~

Pastry Cookie stopped by a bus stop and took out her veil. She felt embarrassed that she was still wearing it. She let down her taro-colored hair and felt a wave of relief wash over her after her hair was up for many hours of her conscious.

Her hair blew in the wind as she still stared at the sunset. Her eyes were so focused, but she snapped out of it after her hair blew into her face.

She blushed at herself while holding back her hair. The bus had arrived, so that was why there was a sudden gust of wind. As she got on the bus, her mind still lingered with the thoughts of Red Velvet Cookie.

Sure, he was responsible. For Chiffon. The thought of that cake hound annoyed her, and made her desperately want to end the image in her head.

She was still afraid of the cake monsters after how Red Velvet scolded her when they first met.

Pastry's thoughts of Red Velvet Cookie faded, and she finally got to relax.

~Red Velvet POV

Red Velvet was walking Chiffon, as usual. He was happy, blushing even. Red Velvet Cookie hadn't been so relaxed in days. There was usually a lot of weight on his shoulders from all of his responsibilities, so it was hard for him.

As Red Velvet walked home with his companion, he realized that Pastry Cookie would be home soon. He rushed home and tried to whip up the best food he could make. He made some odd-looking Fluffy Omurice, but it wasn't looking as good as he wanted it to be.

Red Velvet was sweating. Pastry could be home, but he would never know. He remembered her saying that she would come home early, so he wanted everything to be ready.

Ready, but rushed.

~

Red Velvet sat at the table for half an hour, still waiting for Pastry Cookie. He fiddled around with his Omurice, knowing that Pastry Cookie wouldn't be happy.

As Red Velvet was about to get up to leave, he heard the doorbell ring.

Pastry Cookie!

Who else could it be? Red Velvet rushed to the door in excitement with a big smile on his face. Little did he know, Pastry Cookie was feeling the exact opposite.

~

As soon as he opened the door, he saw Pastry's annoyed face. She hastily held up her crossbow that she still had from St. Pastry.

"You.. You have done nothing to help our relationship! All you do is care for your monsters! I'm tired of it!"

Red Velvet backed away cowardly, but Pastry Cookie got closer.

"I've always been helping! It might've not been our relationship, but it was something much more!"

"Like what?! Do you think we have anything else besides each other? What's something that's more than our cheap-ass relationship right now?! Huh?!"

Pastry realized that she was freaking out, so she turned quickly and repented. She gave a second-long prayer and turned back.

She let down her crossbow, they were both close to tears.

"I.. I.."

Red Velvet couldn't form words for his dreaded feelings. Even though he was rough and dominant in arguments, this one made him feel guilty.

Pastry walked closer and put her hand on Red Velvet's face and apologized.

"I'm sorry for acting out. Now tell me, did you really do anything while I was gone?"

"I.. I made us.. some.. food.."

He pointed over to the table where they would usually eat, and Pastry was shocked. She smiled happily as small tears rolled down her face. She sat down to eat with Red Velvet. They promised they would both do something responsible for each day to keep their happiness and relationship in a great condition.

They both had a small and light kiss that didn't have a great meaning to Pastry, but she knew it would make Red Velvet feel better.
