Latte Cookie was riding on her spoon through quite heavy rain. She held an umbrella as she flew through each raindrop.

She was almost done drinking a soon-to-be-cold latte. The cold air around her affected the latte's temperature, which made her feel a little disappointed. Her teaching shift was over, and she was on her way home to savor yet another latte.

However, she remembered she had recently agreed to go on a date with Almond Cookie. They were great friends and wanted to explore more of their relationship.

Neither of them was expecting the weather, so Latte Cookie pulled out her phone and dialed Almond Cookie's number.

No answer.

She tried again.

Still, no answer.

Latte Cookie sighed and put her phone away. She drank the rest of her latte and hung the cup on the tip of her spoon.

She flew against the wind and rain and arrived home.

Latte threw herself onto her couch with a deep sigh. She pulled out her phone and tried to call Almond again.

She was given a voicemail message, but she hung up and put her phone on her ottoman. She didn't even have the energy to make another latte.

Latte pulled up a blanket to cover her and grabbed a pillow to sleep on.

Latte Cookie opened her eyes and realized that she was laying on something.. soft...

She sat up and looked at the ground... which was.. made of clouds..?

She stood on her feet and saw a shadow in the distance. The shadow was calling her name softly and she slowly walked toward the voice.

The voice sounded like Almond Cookie, and as she stepped closer, she saw that it was Almond Cookie.

"Latte Cookie, what are you doing here?"

"I... I don't know. I was looking for you..." Latte Cookie looked down in sorrow.

Almond Cookie held her chin and lifted her head so that their eyes met again. "I'm sorry I didn't answer your calls. I was... busy."

Latte smiled and put her hand on his cheek. They both leaned in for a kiss, but they were interrupted by a loud siren.

Almond pulled away, and his entire figure faded into dust.

"A- Almond..!" Latte Cookie cried with her hand out.

The siren progressively began to get louder. Latte covered her ears in distress until she finally woke up.

Latte sat up with her eyes as wide as saucers.

"Wh- What's going on..!?" Latte cried. She saw the light of her phone, and she could hear the beeps coming from it.

Latte picked up her phone and saw that it was Almond Cookie. She smiled weakly and answered the call.

A: "Latte Cookie?! Where have you been?! This is my fifth call!"

L: "Hehe! My bad, Almond. I just had the craziest dream..!" Latte blushed.

A: "Sorry if I woke you. So.. about our date?"

L: "Could you pick me up? I'm not as ready as you are.. hehe.."

A: "That's fine. I'll be on my way!"

Latte hung up and held her phone to her chest with a bright smile. She immediately ran upstairs and looked for some nice to wear on their date.
