Chapter 10

Luz dragged Navalia to school with her. She said it was about time they go back after the incident.

Once Luz saw her friends, she ran away to find Edric and Emira. It didn't take long.

"Oh my god, is that our bestie?!"

"Oh my god it is!"

"Oh slay, it's my besties!"

They attacked her with hugs.

"Girl, where have you been?"

"We've been bored for weeeeks!"

"Shits been happening. Also, I forgot to at one point."

"Fair enough."

"But talk about bad timing."

"Meaning?"

The intercom buzzed. The twins and Navalia could hear the voice of Odalia Blight call for Luz, her friends, and Amity.

"Our mom wants to expel the human and her friends."

"Oh damn. Is your hot dad here, too?"

"Please stop calling him hot."

"But yes."

"Hmm. Eh, they'll be fine. Luz is too stubborn to let that happen. So! You guys wanna ditch or something?"

"Let's wait till our parents leave first."

"Yeah, good idea."

They hung out in their classes until they knew that Alador and Odalia had left. After that, they left and went to do stuff in town.

The three of them found random things to do till dark. That's when they decided to hang out in the woods.

They passed by the Blight Industries warehouse. Out near the front, they could hear small teens arguing.

"Hey, it's Mittens!"

"And those other kids I forgot the names of."

"Are they trying to sneak in?"

"Wonder why."

"Should we help?"

"Not like we have anything better to do."

Navalia conjured up three replicas of the green cloaks that the people who were inside the warehouse were wearing.

Edric, Emira, and Navalia left their hiding places.

"Here's and idea. Why not just walk through the front?"

They tossed them the capes.

"Surprised you guys didn't come up with that."

"You guys are helping us?"

Navalia shrugged.

"Not like we had anything better to do."
