Navalia made a brief stop at the school. The club fair was going on, and Luz needed help with putting up her Azura Book Club stand.

Once the thing was relatively sturdy, Luz advertised the hell out of her books.

Since she had nothing better to do, Navalia just walked around to see the clubs. It was the usual type of thing, art, games, academics.

When she felt like leaving, Navalia was suddenly dragged away by a vine.

It brought her to a stand that Willow was running.

"Oh. Hello, other green character and smaller child."

"It's Willow. And the small one is Gus. So I've seen you fly a lot when you work—"

"How do you know about my work?"

"You often wear the Maverick outfit when we see you. Anyways, I'm trying to put together a flyer derby team! I think you'd be a very good asset to us. Also I really members right now because we have a match after school."

"Already?"

"It's against the abomination track teacher—"

"You had me at against a teacher."

"You're in?!"

"Yeah, I don't see why not. I like flying, I like sports where I can look cool. I've been getting bored recently anyways."

Willow pumped her fist.

"This is great! Getting more members should be much easier now!"

They heard a screech from the skies.

Not that far up, someone's griffin was chasing after a witch, who was trying to fly away on his staff.

Navalia had to do a double take when she saw it was Hunter. And in a Hexide uniform, too.

"Calm down, you flea magnet!!"

It took one of his boots, revealing a red bird sock. Navalia giggled. This boy was too cute.

"Hey! Give that back!"

Navalia couldn't help but smile goofily as she watched him. She did her best to hide it, but it did not go unnoticed.

"Why are you looking at him like that?" Gus asked her.

"Oh! Um..."

Before she could lie, Hunter caught himself from crashing to the ground and flew by the club stands, including the one where Navalia was at.

They exchanged the briefest eye contact as he passed, both of their faces blowing up in red. Hunter nearly crashed. Navalia felt weak in the knees.

She placed a hand on Willow's shoulder to keep steady. Hunter tried to fly off and pretend that never happened.

Willow got an idea.

"Hey you!"

She caught him with some vines and dragged Hunter to her stand.
