Chapter 61: The Red Wired Room

I wake up and see Dazai asleep. I sit up and look around.

I hear Dazai sit up as well.

I look at him.

" Good morning." He said.

"Good morning." I say back.

I hear someone open the curtain.

B/n.

"You're kidding me, right?" He said. "Something going on between you two, or..."

I felt my face burn. "It's nothing like that."

Suddenly, Akiko was behind B/n.

"Care to explain why you lied?" She asked.

"Hey, don't be blaming me only! It was Ranpo who lied to you."

She sighed. "Get dressed."

She closed the curtain.

She's definitely not happy with us...

I feel Dazai get close to my ear.

"You heard her, start undressing~"

I elbowed him.

"Ow!"

I rolled my eyes and grabbed my clothes.

"I'm getting dressed first. Out." I said.

"You're so mean this morning." He pouted and left the room.

I sighed and got dressed.

I opened the curtain.

"Done."

After Dazai got dressed. We went out of the patient room.

"Hey, Atsushi. Good morning, Kyouka." I patted her head.

~Atsushi's Pov:~
"Do you ever get tired of her patting your head almost every morning now?" I look at Kyouka.

"Never." She said.

Dazai sat at his desk.

I looked at my computer and decided to get started on my work.

After a while, F/n went to check on us.

"Whatcha up to, Atsushi?" She asked.

"Busy doing work." I sighed. "It's getting old."

"Well, we can always sneak out of work-"

"Don't even think about it, F/n." Kunikida said.

She sighed and looked at him. "You're no fun."

Kunikida looked up at her. "That's not what you said last night."

"...."

"..."

"Should I pretend I didn't hear that?" I broke the silence.

"Please do." F/n said and walked away.

Dazai looked at Kunikida, then back at F/n.

"OH I SEE WHAT-"

Kunikida hit the back of his head.

I sighed and continued typing on my computer.

"Hey, Y/n."

It was Kenji.

"Oh. Hey, Kenji! What's up?" I ask.

"What's the capital of The United States?" He asked me.

"Oh, Washington D.C., why?" I ask.

"Just trying to solve a riddle Ranpo told me." He said.
