I opened my eyes whenever I heard my phone ring.
Dazai pulled away and I grabbed my phone from my pocket.
I answered the call. "....Hey, B/n.."
"Put me on speaker."
I pressed speaker.
"So, Dazai. You finally quit being a coward and confessed?" B/n asked in Japanese.
"Yup.." Dazai looked nervous.
"Great. Here's some news, I told C/n, C/n told, S/n. S/n told mom and dad.."
"Wait, what?" I asked. I was trying to make sure I heard that correctly.
"So...uh.... Dad should call you in a few minutes.. I wanted to tell you good luck... because Dazai is sure as hell dead."
"Wait, I'm what?" Dazai asked. "I'm dead?!"
"You'll somehow survive... Maybe. Hopefully you don't.."
"I heard that."
Another call came in.
Dad
"Shit..." I mumbled.
"He's calling, isn't he? Because he's right beside me. He doesn't know I'm talking to you two. Tell me how Dazai dies."
"Wait, B/n. Don't leave us like this!" I said, "Tell us his reaction wh-"
"Bye."
He hung up.
I slowly moved my finger to the answer button. I tapped it.
"Uh...Hello?" I said in English.
"So, you got a boyfriend?"
"...Yes?"
"Name?"
"Dazai?"
"Job?"
"He works with me.."
"I wanna meet him. Is he near you?"
"Um.. he doesn't know English.."
"So he is near you. What are you two doing?"
"Um...just relaxing at my apartment... watching TV.."
"Hm.. really? You better not be sleeping with him."
"Dad! We aren't sleeping together!" I felt my face turn red.
"What are you two talking about?" Dazai asked.
"Wait, I heard someone. Is that him?"
"U-uh... I.."
"Give him the phone."
"He doesn't know English!"
"Don't you know Japanese? Translate."
"Uh..."
"I'll ground you."
"I'm on the other side of the world! You can't ground me."
"Wanna bet?"
I sighed, "He wants to talk to you..." I said in Japanese and gave Dazai the phone.
"How do we communicate?" He asked.
"Congratulations. I'm the translator." I say sarcastically.
"So, Dazai. How long have you known Y/n?" I heard my dad say.
"...He asked how long have you known me for.." I mumbled.
"Almost 10 months." Dazai said.
"Uh... almost ten months?" I said in English.
