Let's Make Everything Right

C H A P T E R | 45

Chapter 45: The Awaited Moment.

Arthit left Mint to Earth's care, for a while, since he and his friends decided to meet up, along with Tew, Wad, Deer and Rome. He sighed, before he dropped the bomb on them. He was hoping that this conversation would end well.

"What?!" They all screamed in unison. "Hear me out, okay?" Arthit sighed and began explaining again.

"I know, i also became selfish, but now all I could think was their happiness, to get to know each other as, father and daughter." Arthit stated, and look at them, with a small smile. "I want to give Mint a chance to get experience what it was like to have a father, who loves her, that cares for her and protects her. Things that Kongpob could only giver her."

"We get you, Arthit. We do also wanted Mint to experience that." Knot said, and they all agreed, "But, just make sure that he will take care of you both, if not. I will definitely kick him in his ass so that he could learn his lesson." Tutah added and they all laughed.

"Kidding aside, what are you two even planning to do? I mean, what will you do to your surprise?" Deer asked. "We will..."

The next day, everyone had gathered around, to help to prepare everything. Arthit's mother also arrived, early in the morning, as Arthit had told her everything and what was they were planning to do. Aside from that, Mrs. Rojnapat also wanted to see Kongpob herself.

Gifts and the foods were all praised from the tables aside. The left were all for the gift, and the right side were for the foods. In the middle were all filled by rounded tables, covered in white cloth. And the cake, were placed, Infront of them.

The guests' were just Mint's Friends, Mint's classmates, their neighbors, Arthit's friends, Her grandmother, and the most person she waited for, her daddy.

"Here comes the birthday girl!" Rome shouted, as Mint who was dressed up, in to a cute pink dress, and her hair was braided.

She was looking stunning, add the headband to the final look and there you have it. A cute little girl, walking in with her papa, hand-in-hand and stood by Infront of her Cinderella themed cake.

They all sang a happy birthday, for Mint and clapped their hands, making their singing be loud enough.

After the song ended, Mint blown out the candle, and wished. The crowd started to clap loud again, wishing her a happy birthday.

"Close your eyes, Mint." Arthit then, grabbed a handkerchief folded, and wrapped it around Mint's eyes. "Papa, what are you doing?" She asked.

"My gift." He said and then, a tall, slim and tanned man came in, holding a small Teddy bear, bend down to her height, Infront of Mint.

"You can open it now." Arthit said, after he untied the handkerchief from her eyes. Mint then, did what she was told to.

"Happy birthday, Sweetheart." Kongpob said, smiling. "Uncle, you came!" Mint said in excitement.

Kongpob chuckled. "Of course. I will."

Kongpob then, handed her the teddy bear.  "For me?" She asked and Kongpob nodded.

"That was from your daddy." Kongpob said. Mint was overjoyed. She don't expect this kind of gift from her father. Well, although she had lost hope, she still waited for this day to come.

Then, there was a letter attached from the teddy bear, she read it and the letter says;

"Happy Sixth birthday, sweetheart. This teddy bear will serve as a first gift, i will give to you, myself.

-Daddy."

Mint then, looked at him and asked, "But uncle, why are you giving me the gift when it says, my daddy will give it to me?"

Arthit then, came to her and said, "He just gave it to you, Mint."

Mint took a time to digest the words, her papa said.

He just gave him to her?

Kongpob then, smiled and opened his arms, and Mint didn't think twice and rushed into his arms.

"Where were you?" She asked, crying. Kongpob broke the hug and wiped the tears, in her eyes. "I am always here, Mint."

Ang then, planted a kiss on her forehead. And smiled, gently caressing her cheeks.

"Your wish is now granted." Arthit whispered to her ear and smiled. "Happy birthday, Mint."

The people looked at the three with a warm, and heartwarming joy, tear flowing down from their eyes. Everyone who was present to this even was also present, witnessing the scene of the family, becoming one whole. A mother, a father and the kid.

Kongpob then stood up, and hugged Arthit. "Thank you." He whispered.

Arthit's tears, were falling from his eye and hugged Kongpob back. Mint also join a hug and the two looked down, to see her pouting, "I also wanted a hug."

Arthit and Kongpob chuckled, and Kongpob picked Mint up. "There, there. No need to pout, anymore."

"Let's sing another birthday song with daddy!" Mint exclaimed. Kongpob then, smiled, hearing the word, daddy. "Let's do it." Arthit said, and let a small chuckle.

They again, began to sang the song. While Mint was in Kongpob's arms.

Arthit looked again to the two. Finally, Arthit made a good decision. Mint and Kongpob was happy, at last. He couldn't get any more happier, that to the two, meeting as, father and daughter.

of course. It was not just Arthit was happy, but everyone.

Mrs. Rojnapat finally met her future son-in-law, Knot and the others, were finally happy, seeing Mint happy. Tew and Wad were also happy to reunite with their old friend. Mint was happy, to see and hug her father, and last, Kongpob was happy. He was happy that he finally could call Mint as his daughter. He was happy that he and Arthit gotten back together. He was happy, being called dad for the first time.

And, finally, after 6 years, the family is finally reunited. All the past years of longing and griefs has finally came to an end.

And this time, Kongpob and Arthit will finally make everything right.
