A monster. A deceiver. A liar. Yes, I am all of those things. But I am not a villain.
Villains are people who do cruel things if only to tempt fate. To teeter on the edge of darkness until they fall into a void so deep and lonely that it would be impossible to crawl out. They thrive from pain. They reach for strength only to let it slip through their fingers.
That is not me.
Power is my song. Death is my melody. Wrath is my rhythm. Revenge, my refrain. I do what I must to survive.
But my heart still beats. It is shattered and dirty, scabrous and broken, but it is still there.
