The summer was joyful, the sun warm and inviting. The trees were bright green, the sky blue, and the flowers in full bloom. In the distance, birds were singing songs of joy at the arrival of July. A few people had been spotted walking down the sidewalk, but not many did, most preferring to remain indoors where it was cool and quiet.

He'd been doing this every summer. After his holidays would start and he was free from the university, he would go back to Daegu to visit his parents and spend some time with them. While being in Seoul, Yeonjun used to miss them a lot. He would stay in Daegu for about a month during those times and then return to his villa in Seoul.

To be honest, Yeonjun really liked life as being a university student. He had made many friends and they would often go out clubbing at night. He was studying business and finances, so he could follow his father's path as he had always dreamt. He wanted to make his family proud.

So far, things were going well. As much as he loved being in Seoul, he missed Daegu, so it was good that he was going home. His parents were always happy to see him back home and today was no exception. They both hugged tighter than ever before when he got out of his car. Yeonjun hugged them back with the same love, closing his eyes, so he could enjoy his parents' closeness better.

"You've dyed your hair again, I see," his mother remarked with a smile as she brushed her son's blonde locks. "Blonde suits you."

Yeonjun smiled sheepishly and thanked her, then the three of them entered the house where his parents had laid the table, so they all could have dinner together. Yeonjun's parents had missed dining with their son after all.

"How are things going in the university?" His dad asked, cutting a piece of chicken and putting it into his mouth.

Yeonjun chuckled and nodded, taking a bite of his food. "Good. My grades are really high, so I guess you can say I'm pretty busy." He explained, smiling.

Won chuckled along and nodded. "I figured that much. You must be busy most of the time if you want to be successful, but studying every subject perfectly at the university isn't all. There's so much more to it than that. What is more important than your subjects is your skills, so you must spend really much time improving them."

Yeonjun hummed in agreement and continued eating. "I know, dad. You always say that to me."

A moment of silence hung between them as they proceeded to eat their meal. It wasn't long until they finished and started to clean up before moving onto the couches with cups of coffee in their hands, continuing their conversations like normal people who knew what topics to talk about. Yeonjun had told them about his classes and how they felt like hell sometimes, which earned a hearty laugh from them. Of course, they would laugh at something that made their son so mad or frustrated.

"Son...," Won started after some time, his expression uneasy and anxious, as if he was going to say something Yeonjun wouldn't like which made the latter perk up his ears, curious about the matter. "Have you contacted Taehyun recently?"
