The roads were still congested with police and ambulance cars, especially, on the territory of Hapjeong-dong, but somehow Yeonjun managed to find his way through the chaos. The only thing he could think of was that it was a miracle that Beomgyu and Taehyun were the only ones who were totally unharmed by the recent events. How could this be possible? He was confused about how Beomgyu had managed to survive when everyone around him was dead...

He felt so lost at that moment, unable to even comprehend what had occurred, however, he couldn't help but also think about what could have happened to Beomgyu. Yeonjun strongly believed that he must have gotten raped and that's why he was naked in the street with fresh bruises on his face. Besides Hapjeong-dong was too far from his dorm, so there was no chance —

"You have to choose one, Yeonjun, because you won't manage to protect both of them from me."

Yeonjun's blood froze at the memory. Hapjeong-dong... it was the neighborhood where that bastard Jaesung lived. Could it really be what Yeonjun thought it was, that bastard had dared to lay a hand on someone again who did not belong to him? Yeonjun was so angry that his hands around the steering wheel tightened considerably until they turned white, almost crushing the poor instrument in his fingers as he struggled against the urge to just pull over and confront the bastard himself.

"You're sweating," Taehyun said worriedly as he sat on the backseat a few inches away from Beomgyu who was hugging himself and shaking helplessly, "Do you have a fever?"

Taehyun brought his hand to press it against Beomgyu's forehead who pulled away from the touch in an instant with a pained expression. It was clear that Beomgyu wanted nothing more than for the younger boy to stop touching him but Taehyun didn't seem to understand the meaning behind that gesture. He was glad that the boy's skin didn't feel hot at all.

Yeonjun watched the whole scene through the rearview mirror as if he was witnessing something utterly disturbing. His eyes were filled with a hint of jealousy towards the youngest who appeared to be completely unaware of the fact that he was doing something wrong. However, Yeonjun had to gulp down his jealousy and act like nothing was bothering him as he needed to be adequate for this situation, that is, to remain calm.

"I'll take you to my house," Yeonjun said to the redhead while looking back at him through the rearview mirror, but Beomgyu didn't even spare him a glance. "I want you to be safe until you get better."

"No," Beomgyu immediately replied with conviction, "Just take me back to the dorm."

But if Soobin was really at fault for Beomgyu's current condition, there was no way he was letting the boy stay with that bastard's best friend. That was an absolute no, and Yeonjun would never let that happen. It was true that he hated Beomgyu to the core, but he didn't want those disgusting things happening even to his deadly enemies.

"Let's get you to my house first, then we can talk about the rest later," Yeonjun insisted, trying to keep the irritation out of his voice.

After all, Beomgyu looked scared shitless despite the stubborn set of his jaw as he refused to make eye contact with any of them. Yeonjun couldn't understand how Soobin could have managed to fool him when Beomgyu had the ability to read thoughts without any problems. It was so frustrating.
